its so annoying!! 'does he/she like me?' 'is this wrong?' 'will she/he go out with me?' 'am i hot?' 'does he/she like me?' 'can i do this?' 'does he/she like me?' 'why did they do that?' 'what does this mean?' and the imfamous 'does he/she like me? Stop it, please! most of these question can be answered by a simple thought. God gave us yahooanswers and he also gave us brains. dont lose 5 points so ppl can stroke your ego. I know i am guilty of one of these but lets move on please.

I know. When this happens in real life, it gets annoying very quickly. But on Yahoo Answers, if someone needs their ego stroked, then I'm there to do it when the mood is right. If not, I just ignore the question and move on to another one.
Now and again our ego needs stroking. Not only that, but maybe there's someone who really is clueless about someone liking them or not.

People do this for exactly the reason that you said, they want to stroke their egos, or at least confirm what they are thinking. They cant get it off their minds and want to talk about it so they bring it up here. You really cant complain cause as you said we are probably all guilty of it!

the do this for many different reasons. I know why you ask this, and I have done many of your examples too. For example, if they ask, am i hot?, they just want people to give their opinions and they might their self-esteem to be boosted. Or they might just really want the person to like them or something like that. I know what you are saying, and I have the same problem, but they just want to know what others opinions are.
