Yes. Although a FL homestead is isolated from most debt claims, taxes are one that they are NOT isolated from. Mortgage payments is another, if the homestead is pledged as security for the mortgage.

Certainly. There is nothing to prohibit the IRS from seizing your house, although that is pretty much a last resort.
