Many believe that the next 100 years if some thing does not start to change soon. Again keep in mind that the world coming to end only as we know it today. There are those that are trying, but its a slow process, especially from what I read here in "answers"
Either way we need a new start or cleansing and a drastic change should allow for that.
An end is really only the begining

Sure. Someday our sun will die and will take the entire solar system out with it. But we are talking about billions of years from now. The question is will humanity still be around?
Its my belief that as far as humanity goes, there are no endings, only new beginnings.

In about 5 billion years. That is when the Sun will run out of fuel and go red giant engulfing the Earth.

I always thought natural forces would kill us, like an asteroid hitting us or some really big natural disaster on Earth, but now that I think about it, we are probably going to end up killing ourselves with all this war and weapons of mass destruction. before any of that happens.

Humans probably won't last long unless they are able break their dependence upon Earth and start colonizing the galaxy.
