I am a Christian, and I feel like as soon as people know that about me they seem to judge me or automatically think I'm judging them. In Christianity, we are taught to judge no one, and to be humble, God is the judge. We are not to act superior, or be rude. Jesus said that love is the most important thing of all. We're supposed to love one another, if you read 1 Corinthians 13 it says what love is. Why do so many people act like their experts on Christianity and try to talk me out of my beliefs? Would they do the same to a Buddhist? Or someone who believes in Islam? People say that Christianity is ridiculous, but if you look at other religions, it's no more far fetched that anything else. Plus this teaches truth and love. Where is the harm in that? People are so afraid to believe because they think they have to give something up, God says come as you are. The change comes later, burdens are lifted. Why am I made fun of for having faith in the truth?

I don't critisize anyone. I never tell people I'm better than them, and I know it's foolish to use harsh language toward an unbeliever. When I say that it's the truth, thats because I believe in it. It's just like a Jew saying that Gentiles are going to hell, but you don't hear anyone telling them that their wrong.

Saying that all Christians behave a certain way is a generalization. It's just as bad as racism.

Okay, well your intentions are noble, I suppose. Well first of all, the majority of Christians that I know are judgmental. I don't judge you because of your faith, its your actions I judge. For instance, you called your faith, the truth. Well that would mean the rest of us don't have the truth and are wrong, according to you. How come your religion is the true one and you judge all other religions to be false? You're religion could be correct, I admit that. And so could many other religions.

Teaching love is a fine goal, but it usually doesn't seem that way considering the way some christians preach and the things they say. Discrimination is evident in many pastor's speeches.

I have never thought I have to give something up to believe in god, nor does anyone else.

Some people spend their entire lives reading the bible, studying christianity, and end up atheist. So yes, they are an expert on your faith, but I suppose it's wrong for them to talk you out of your faith. Just as it is wrong for you to talk others out of their faith!

Uh, because Christians critize everyone else, such as homosexuals and atheists?

I talk about Christianity because I was once a deluded member of the faith. Not being a former member of Buddhism, I do not have the right to ridicule it.

If we are supposed to love one another, then why do some Christians run around and spew hatred, ala Fred Phelps?

You got one point correct - your religion is no more far fetched than any other. Its no more real or true either.

Because misinterpreting verses cherry-picked out of a book full of nonsense and contradictions and calling it truth is a bit far fetched, don't you think. If you really knew, understood, and followed Jesus it would be a different story, promise.

See I don't think you have the truth or anything close to it. It is a bit condescending and when you start thinking it is a good idea to make people live by biblical laws you piss me off and I feel I have to let you know.

When they start trying to pass Buddha based laws they will hear it too.

properly, my expensive fellow Christian those human beings on right here ask questions that are respectable at situations and not so at different situations. Even those ones deserve an answer. while it speaks of judging in Matthew it does not say that we are to no longer choose Sin. It ability that we had extra suitable no longer be in touch in that exact same Sin. yet, you're stunning approximately something. we are to no longer choose the unbeliever for that's the Lord's paintings in spite of the actuality that all of us comprehend the place all unbelievers bypass to ultimately. do no longer we? you're being judgmental on your person brothers and sisters in Christ and in accordance to scripture we are to handle all adult adult males properly rather those of the relatives of religion. we are to no longer be right here to be extreme yet we are to be right here to share the comprehend God to all people who ask. How will they comprehend in the event that they do no longer ask and how will they learn if there is not any one to respond to their questions. do no longer question me to compromise my ideals for i won't. once you're looking like an ignorant bigoted fool then possibly you ought to ask why you experience this type.
