From the Greek, M stands for Mega (10^6) and K stands for Killo (10^3). For those who do not understand exponents 10^6 is 1,000,000; 10^3 is 1,000.

Remember that internet speeds are in Kbps, not KBps - and there are 8 b per B.

Now do the math!
