I babysit a 18 mon old little girl. She is a really good baby..but as soon as we go some where or someone comes over she throws a fit and wants me to carry her or has to be right next to me. I cant leave her sight. Her mom has the same problem with her.What can I do to help with this problem.

The only useful thing to do is let her throw her fit. She will eventually see that she can be on her own without having someone with her at all times. Leave her in a safe place for a few minutes, then go back so that she sees that you will return. Just stick with it and she will eventually get better about it. It is hard to hear them cry though, but it is definitely worth it in the long run.

I wouldn't call this attachment disorder, which is when children cannot connect with people at all- even their parents (they are detached from everyone). Likely she is just anxious around strangers and needs reassurance you're not going anywhere, and needs time to warm up to strangers.

It sounds like seperation anxiety coupled with a fear of strangers, which is very common at that age.

well take a photo of your sefe and her mother too and then let the baby girl have it or if you are goinf to the store to get some food take the little one with you if you are able too
