Go door-to-door, take a walk around your area and put up posters. Contacting your local shelter to be on the look-out can help. If a vet had installed the chip, they should have the id number and information on file. That file will sometimes contain the pet's description and the vet could do a reverse description search, kind of like a reverse address. Search the address to get the people, search the description to get the chip id.

call local animal shelters, the pound and ask your neighbors if they've seen her or if they can keep an eye out for her. Try to put up flyers (preferrably with a photo of her). Best you can do without an id number. Hope you find her. Good Luck

I'm so sorry! Cats are much smarter than dogs and can sometimes even come back when they're hungry! Call the pound and local animal shelters, offer a reward, and start makin' flyers (with a good pic of him/her)!!
best of luck,
aer.

If she gets turned in to a local animal shelter, they will scan her for a microchip.
In the meantime, post flyers with your cat's picture around the neighborhood and call the local shelters to report a lost cat, in case someone brings her in.
