do you ever feel like you are lost? or outside looking in? dating scene can be very competitive and sometimes not fun at all. what do you think?

believe in yourself. one can still have fun. clean fun for you have to be a good role model for your kids. have friends and enjoy them.

I agree with you. I got a divorce 3 years ago and was 40 at the time. I eventually ended up going on a singles website basically just to shut my mother up. I surfed the net and found some other sites that I visited and dated some from them. I also met a lot of people from all over the world that I ended up chatting with online. One of them introduced a friend to me who wanted someone to talk to so he could practice his English with. To make a long story short after only a few weeks and many many hours of talking online with a mic and webcam, we ended up falling in love and are getting married in December. The other day while in the wedding section someone asked the question "how did you meet your bf/gf or spouse" I think about 90% of the answers were online. If you havent tried it, give it a try. for the most part i am happy with my life at this point in time however i do miss the companionship of a relationship from time to time.
as far as the dating scene goes i have not went out with anyone for the last 8 years because i do not want to be competitive

Try going out with group of friends. It is very fun and you have more eyes looking out for you as far as prospects for guy to talk to. Joining some community groups is a good way and in groups you tend to have more in common with the others.

If I wanted to go out and meet someone it wouldnt be that difficult. No, I dont feel lost about that. Im not trying.

nope... i met my bf at work.. i had 3 to choose from.. one 21yrs old .. one 45 yrs old with lots of health promblems and a heavy drinker to boot and the one i am with 30 yr old.. we have been together for 3 yrs now.. some said it would not work out because he is 12 yrs younger than me .. but all seem to be fine

ok i am not 40+ but i have teens at home and is single...
i have been told by hot guys that i am not datable... my kids want me to have alife but its hard too... when men find out that you have kids...
i think it sucks... and therefore dont date
