Okay, I know that someone apologized about this earlier, but I'm sorry about those Hellen Keller jokes. I know that they're just jokes, and I shouldn't have to apologize. But people are pissed that I'm making fun of someone like that. But, to those who got 'offended' by it, I'm really sorry!

I did not see what you originally posted, but I've heard my share of Hellen Keller jokes. All I would say is, it takes guts to apologize. I think sometimes jokes that are hilarious to people we really know--close family and friends--are not so hilarious out of context, say on the Internet. But you didn't have to post this and you did it anyway. Well done!

We all have our limits. I like and tell Hellen Keller jokes like:
Why was Hellen Kellers leg yellow?
Her dog was blind too.
I draw the line at kids being raped jokes. Beyond that all is fair.

I'm not offended because I can take a joke, but I also can totally understand others that might be offended. Good for you for taking responsibility for your actions. Some people out there just don't care!

I used to work for a woman who was blinded late in life and was the recipient of the Heller Keller award, she joked "And I'm not even deaf! " Get a sense of humor people ! True story.... Also when asked why she used a cane and not a service dog she replied, "No one says anything if you come in with a cane in their store or to ride in the car" Sharp funny lady... I miss her and her sense of humor...

Oh, please - Helen Keller jokes have been around forever.
What about "dead baby" jokes? Do we have to be afraid of offending parents that have lost children?
Or Priest jokes?
Or Blonde jokes? Blondes have feelings too, ya know.
