I have four orange polydactyl kittens... are these good names? Daphne, Chester, Hoover, and Peanut. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

I'm not too fond of Hoover as any name for a pet, but that's just me. I do like the others. I know of a white & orange cat named Patches. Clemintine, Pumpkin, Autumn, Honey and Locust for golden yellow to orange. Cinnimmin, Almond and Hazel for darker orange to near brown. I don't know what polydactyl means so I've done my best.

I love them...especially Chester & Hoover. Mine is Sir Baxter Morrison Shamrock I. Orange cats are my favorite! They usually have so much character! How about Great Harry, after Henry VIII? Or Eliza the First after Elizabeth I. Both had red hair and lots of character too. I have another orange one with some white trim. He's quite rotund. So his name is Rufus Maximus (aka Big Red).

I like all the names for the kittens. Pumpkin is also a cute name for any orange cat!

I don't like Chester. The other 3 are good.

Honestly, your kittens won't care what you call them :) As long as you give a lot of love and attention, that is all they really care about... I like all of your names... I think the suggestion "Marmalade" is cute too.... I have an orange cat, and we just call him Orange. Not terribly creative, but he answers to it... :)

My sister in law has an orange kitty named cheeto which I think is really cute, but the other names are cute too.

I have a tabby named Boots (I call him Boo-Boo), but I love the name Pumpkin for an orange cat (I got a white/black cat near Halloween and his nickname is 'Kittypumpkin'. =] )
