I was just a groomsman in one of my best friend's wedding. At the weddign party they had food and drinks and cameras and people. It was liek a regular party except the groomsmen and the best man got wedding gifts from the people gettign married. I got a flask with my name, "groomsman" and the date of the weddign engraved on it.

I suggest a wedding planner (book or person, depending on your budget!). It (or he/she) will walk you through every step of the production from announcing the engagement to your honeymoon. I wouldn't plan a wedding without one!

Lots of beer. A rubbish band. Tissues to mop the tears and blood from the inevitable fights. A large bank account to pay for the damage caused by the drunken guests.
