I have two male beagles, 14 months and 18 months, I just wanted to know if the Petsmart training classes were any good.

Depends on the trainer. I have met some that really knew their stuff.. and have met a few who were dumb as bricks. PetSmart doesn't seem to have any set standards on who does their training.
Your best bet is to go talk to the trainers themselves and see if you like them. If they don't seem to work for you, contact your local AKC chapter and see if they have classes in your area. Once again, talk to the trainers ahead of time and see if you like them.

I have been working at PetSmart for over a year now, and the training classes are fairly good, but only if you get a good instructor. My suggestion for you is to go and observe classes by the different instructors. Typically each store has at least two instructors, one for during the week and one for weekends. At my store in particular I think the instructor that we have during the week is an idiot but our weekend instructor is amazing. Just go and watch part of the lessons, watch how the instructor acts and teaches. Also, ask yourself if you're able to learn from that instructor.

Since you have two dogs, you'll need two adults to go or to go to two separate classes because training two dogs in the same class is close to impossible.

petsmart training is GREAT. It allows your dog to be socialized with people in the store, allows you to train him with distractions (tons of toys, people, treats everywhere!) and its a decent price...

i suggest taking the beginner one instead of the puppy one because puppy class is 50% about house training...... but ur dogs are too old for the puppy one anyway

oh and btw, you might wanna train one dog at a time?? not sure if they allow both.. unless you take your significant other with you to train one

depends on which trainer you get cause some of them are good and know their stuff and some dont know jack squat and have you end up with a neurotic dog . you have to check out different trainers . good luck .
