...to meet a guy's parents? I introduce people to my family all the time and it doesn't mean anything to me or my family. I just have a fun family and everyone loves to meet them, so it's no big deal. But I guess it's a big deal for guys - why is that?

The concept is that when you meet someones family you are saying, this is a person I am serious about. It is a way for you family to get to know him and he them. That's why when people take you to meet their family it is such a big deal. You are in a way saying this is the guy that is going to be part of my life for at lest some time. It use to be that this would happen just before the two would get engaged but that has changed some over the last 10 or so years. That's why it is seen as a big deal.

It's not a big deal for all guys. It stems from the idea that you don't introduce a person to your parent until it's serious. For me, it's no big deal. My parents can deal with any short term relationships I have.

It's only a big deal if he's meeting them as a serious boyfriend. In that case, he has a LOT riding on how it goes. If he blows it, he's in for an uphill battle.

They want you to see where they came from and maybe where they don't want to go back to in the future. This is so you can get an idea of what kind of life you may all have in the future.

this is extremely gross I ought to confess, however the seen a woman swallowing, is what does it for a guy. this is like.. the girl's into you that lots and that became directly to easily swallow. Very attractive!!

When I was younger my mom actually told me not to introduce any more girlfriends to her until I was serious.

I am hesitant to bring home someone just because I never really had much approval from my dad. I really want is approval of the one I date.
