*warning sarcasm*
I was just thinking this Sunday as I was teaching Gospel Doctrine about the atonement how demonic the LDS church is. The lesson manuel wanted us to study the atonement and apply it in our lives. Here's a few lines from the Manuel
Why do we need the Atonement of Jesus Christ? (See Alma 34:9.)
a. Because of the Fall of Adam and Eve, we are subject to physical death, which is the separation of the body and the spirit (Moses 6:48).
b. When we sin, we bring spiritual death upon ourselves because we separate ourselves from God. Our sins make us unclean and unable to dwell with God (1 Nephi 10:21).
c. Because we cannot overcome physical or spiritual death by ourselves, Heavenly Father sent his Only Begotten Son to offer the Atonement (John 3:16; 2 Nephi 2:5–9).
I can't believe I've never seen how demonic the church is.

The oft-quoted couplet, “As man is, God once was—as God is, man may become,” suggests that we develop a desire to achieve something high and great. I do not consider this wrong. Neither is looking on the bright side of things - like having a chance to live this life because of Adam and Eve's mistake...
If you were to research further into this religion you would find that man becoming a god with their own planets is the highest possible reach for man - that LDS doctrine teaches to still give all the glory and power and the kingdom to God and God only. And that it teaches that man was created in God's image (perhaps with the possibility to become like God) and that we should glorify and magnify His image in ourselves to the best of our ability.
LDS (which is not the same as a fundamentalist "mormon"), does not have the same doctrines as satanism no matter how hard you stretch them. And btw, the bible version which this religion uses and believes to be scripturally the most correct is the KJV of the bible. They just also believe in the Book of Mormon too.
May God grant you wisdom and understanding as well.

first question. Mormonism is not like satanism. but there are just as many similarities in christianity.
as far as becoming gods. or part of the godhead, read rev 3:21 and 21:7 kjv. Jesus himself invites all those that overcome to sit on His throne, even as he overcame and sits on HIS FATHERs throne. That makes us all part of the godhead and gods. also read psalms 82:6 even though we are all gods, we will die like princes, without the glory of being a king.
but truthfully, if there are NO ONE that does right in this life, than there are no one that can fulfill this promise. Men become like the angels and then only the best of the angels become sons of God and saviours on mt Sion. See Obadiah.

Satan wanted to BE God, not to be LIKE God. There's a difference.
Paul said that we can be heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. But, Heavenly Father will ALWAYS be our God. If we should become a god and create an earth, etc., that does not take away from our heavenly Father, but indeed, it ADDs to His kingdom, enlarging it even more.
I have read the Bible, and that is wy I am LDS.
I thank you for your concern, but it is totally misplaced. I am right where God wants me.

You do realize that Jesus Himself taught that we are "gods" in the King James Bible (which we use)???
LOL Get your facts straight, man.
EDIT: Um...if you had your facts straight you wouldn't be encouraging us to read the King James Bible. The fact that you feel you need to speak to Mormons of "different ranks" within the church to get the full scoop tells me you have spoken to more anti's than actual Mormons. And if you DID truly know any Mormons or had attended any of our worship services you'd see how silly your claims of us being "demonic" truly are.

Have you ever really talked to a member of the LDS Faith? We use the KJV Bible. I know people who practice worship what main stream "Christianity", would refer to as Satanism (I've heard LDS called many things in my life).
WE Believe that Jesus is the Only begotten Son of the Father, and that through him all Mankind is saved. HE atoned for our Sins and mistakes (This includes the Garden of Eden) and makes it possible for man to return to God.
If you contest that MY Faith is similar to Satanism - PROVE IT! Your word is not good enough for me to believe.
May the Good Lord grant you the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to respect others beliefs even when they don't match yours.

But you see the Mormons changed their satan story, so they do not see the similarities. Satan is a brother of Jesus and there was a counsel in heaven and then a war, Satan, in mormonaism never was a created anegel in the throneroom of God, who praised and worshipped God and then wanted all the glory for himself, he was actually Jesus brother, see how they hide the truth from themselves???

You should read the Book of Mormon to find out why that dog don't hunt. And, why you can be glad that you aren't a Mormon.

I've asked a Mormon about this whole own God thing, and they say that it's not true.
They believe in Jesus as their savior, they baptize, and part take in communion. who's to say they are wrong?

I hope I am not so bold with my words that it angers or offends someone...
First of all, the answer to the question is simply: no, because it is not.
Second...
I think the idea that Satan wanted to "become like God" is a twisted logic and sophistry. Satan did not want to become like God; he simply wanted glory and power, he only wanted God's "position." Satan desired only to replace God with himself.
God is just, merciful, loving, wise, and good. He desired for us to continue our progress, which we could no longer do while "walking by sight." He understood the need for us to begin "walking by faith," so that we could utilize our own will in a state of freedom or without the compulsion caused by "walking through sight," in order to learn how to make choices righteously and on an eternal level. Even in mortality, we have not been left alone. He continually shows His love for us by providing us guidance and support, so that through faith we can progress and choose righteously. And He has made it possible for those who did not have the opportunity in this life, to gain it in the next. God is consistent and eternal.
Satan is none of these things which God is, nor did he ever desire to be like God. He was and is still greedy and jealous, angry and apathetic. He wanted to force us to live his way and no other, thus depriving us of our free agency, that most important key to our salvation and progression. He did not have love, nor will he ever love God or man. His wisdom is flawed and contrary, and he is not capable of righteously meting out or understanding justice and mercy. He teaches all things contrary to Godliness, and showed signs of doing so even before the world began. And he supports those who follow him, only so long as it suits his evil purpose. In the end, he will abandon all those who professed to him their loyalty.
I think it unwise to so easily confuse Satan's will and that of God. Satan is an enemy to God. They were, are, and will never be the same. If you think about it; since we are continually commanded to be perfect as our Father in Heaven, one can only conclude that Satan was cast out for not being like and not desiring to be like our Father, but wanting to simply usurp our Father's "place" and glory.
LDS doctrine does not teach that we will replace God. Rather, it teaches that Heavenly Father will always be our God, but that we have the potential to be like (i.e. possess the characteristics of; resemble closely; be similar to) God if we follow His word. This bears a stark difference in meaning, reality, and result than what Satan truly desired. And the LDS are not the only Christian (or other) religion that teaches this concept of "becoming like God," in some form or fashion.
"...that which is evil cometh of the devil; for the devil is an enemy unto God, and fighteth against him continually, and inviteth and enticeth to sin, and to do that which is evil continually.
"But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God."
Moroni 7:12-13
As mormon_4_jesus said; thank you for your concern, but I'm where I need to be.
