It bothers me a lot, but it's not like they ever really listened to me in the first place

Yes, I see that too. Especially with the Evangelicals they are trying to take away our rights! Like our freedom of speech and a woman's right to choose. These are scary times to live in. We have evolved into so much technology, but some of our minds have been stuck in the dark ages. I just pray that everyone opens there eyes and truly start to see what is going on around them.

I'm not all that worried about it. NOW, if Malleus Mallificarum getsd rewritten and distributed widely then I'll start to worry. But if That WERE to happen, it MIGHT NOT be a good idea for Christians to attend church. WE are NOT going to walk quietly to the Bonfires like we did that last time.

It seems that christians are going extreme both ways, actually. While some get more and more vocal in their intolerance of non-christian things, there is now "Christian Wicca" (It seems a contradiction in terms, but it exists), and it seems that more and more Christians willing to gain an understanding of a faith before condemning it. But as Raji said, if history DID try to repeat its self, the Christians would have a more difficult time trying to "eliminate" us non-believers.

You know the opposite of Love isn't hate, it's fear. Hate is a product of fear. If you fear people and their ideals such as this, you will begin to hate them, even those who share the title "Catholic" but not necessarily the same belief as the pope.

In fact they never progressed into the 21st century….They force people to accept their incoherent doctrines - which are insults to God’s greatness- by the threat of hell and excommunication. What do they know about God/Goddess? Enclosed into their ignorance and arrogance they claim to be God’s representatives on Earth but their actions are far from being godly or even human…I guess their gods are petty and cruel just as they are…

Why do you think it's fair to tell lies about the pope? Have you even read the recent documents, and compared them to what's gone before? He hasn't actually changed ANYTHING.

yeah, me and my christian family had a bon fire just last night and served up some yummy witch kabobs for dinner. if we weren't so far in the darkages we probably would have just microwaved them but there's just something about sitting around a fire and singing camp fire songs while nibbling on witch, that feels so heart warming.

regressing? i don't think much has changed regarding christians except there are more sects due to their schizmatic nature and habit of thinking that their interpretation must be right one the only one and evryone else is condemned to hell. to test how open to interpretation the bible is, pick a verse and give it to several different ppl. have them send you what they think it means. i bet not one of them would be the same. they can't even get "thou shall not judge" right.

More bothersome that so many atheists, those calling themselves tolerant, are acutally nothing but hatemongers. Since you're describing "all" christians as regressing to dark age mentality, I guess you'd fall into the "rabid atheists" category, huh?

I just don't pay attention any more. I personally believe that the papacy needs to be dissolved and all the riches they have stole from people over the past thousand years needs to be distributed to the public.
