Someone made a comment that they couldn't be paid enough to live in the rural U.S.
My question is, which would you rather live in, and why not the other?

I live in the Smoky mountains--I lived the majority of my life in urban area--I don't think I could be happy in an urban area.

I would much rather live in the rural U.S. and I do. I've been to the urban areas and big cities, and for the most part, people there are jerks and only care for themselves.

I live in the midwest, and people here are some of the nicest people you could know. Everyone talks to everyone, everyone waves to everyone, everyone helps everyone. It is just a great place to live.

You couldn't pay me enough to live in urban U.S.

I'm definitely not an urban girl, and I don't think I could be a rural girl for any length of time. I'm pretty much tailor-made for suburban life.

I love the big city.

I love the lights, the appearance of the streets after a rainstorm, the things to do and the shows to see (I'm a bit of an opera/ballet/theater junkie), the tall buildings, the cheap housing and available jobs, and the diversity of people, restaurants, grocery stores, and culture in general.

I also love that cities tend to be more liberal, so I'm more free to be who I am without worrying about the neighbors judging me.

I love living in the country. There is nothing better than being able to hunt your own meat and pop off a few rounds without some dimwit calling the police.

well for one thing ... a person wont make as much money living in the rural us ... so it would be a bad move unless you have a guaranteed good job pinned down or are making a real estate financial move ...
