Since alot of you all keep pressing about them being illegal. Hell, make them legal. At least we will know who they are and they will pay taxes or what ever.

You all keep saying the same thing ,they are illegal.I think I got that down by now. I think that, Stefanie A, speaks for most of you. At least she had the guts to admit it.

What????? An American agreeing with a Dubya policy????? Now I've seen it all.
Seriously, it makes a lot of sense. The US needs the labour, the labour is going to come to the jobs. May as well make some tax dollars off the back of it.
Wow, some of you guys who posted after me are great advertisements for the "greatest democracy on earth"... maybe you should watch some foreign channels to get some perspective (if your trailer park HAS cable, that is).

Well, we tried that, or, rather, Reagan tried that in '86. The result of that Amnesty was a flood of illegals four times the size of the batch offered Amnesty.
So, if your goal is to attract around 50 million additional illegals by 2027, it'd be a sound policy.

Now read this over slowly since you seem to have trouble understanding the obvious. These people broke the law by coming here illegally, if we legalize the l5 million here so far the next thing 50 million more will come and demand to be legalized and that would be the end of America.

When you do that do you bring everyone who is on the waiting list into the country as well. There are people who pay 10K plus to come here legally and just allowing illegal aliens to gain legal status immediately slaps them in the face.

That's part of the plan - but they don't trust the government and won't register.
So let’s break this down. “Miguel” illegally crossed the border into our country - knowingly breaking the law. Then “Miguel” lived outside of society and didn't pay taxes for however long he lived here - knowingly breaking the law. Now we're telling him that he should register and become a legal citizen, and he doesn’t trust the government (the government of the country that he was willing to become a criminal to emigrate to) and wants to continue to knowingly violate the law.
Sorry – that’s not the kind of person I WANT as a citizen of the United States.

it's not that easy, because they're too lazy to go in and pay the money and fill out the paper work to get the green card or at least the visa. and if they have a record then they're definitely not gonna do it because if they want to be legal then they have to come in and interview every month like they're on probation and they sure as hell don't want to do that. they don't want to pay taxes and if they're legal then the government can keep tabs on them. they're happy where they are making everyone else pay taxes to support them.

They don't deserve it. Why don't you let all the criminals out of prison and 'make' them legal? Same thing.

well, there already is a procedure in place to make someone a legal resident. these people have, however, tried to bypass that, therefore becoming illegal aliens.
if you mean, give amnesty to illegals, to magically make them legal.... ROTFLMAO!!! not too bloody likely.
a thief is a thief is a thief. meaning, once someone has decided to sneak around, and break laws, and try to hide in the woodwork (like a roach), what makes you think that they will ever change?

filing papers. housing. huge population. health care. not too many jobs.
yeah right. let's say they will pay taxes, the question is, who will provide jobs? if they can't have jobs that means no taxes and the economy will go down. since a lot of older people didn't have decent education, its no use giving office jobs, right?
