FROM ISAIAH 13:13-16:

Therefore I will make the heavens tremble;
and the earth will shake from its place
at the wrath of the LORD Almighty,
in the day of his burning anger.

Like a hunted gazelle,
like sheep without a shepherd,
each will return to his own people,
each will flee to his native land.

Whoever is captured will be thrust through;
all who are caught will fall by the sword.

Their infants will be dashed to pieces before their eyes;
their houses will be looted and their wives ravished.

It means the old testament god was a pretty tough old goat, as it were. Don't be caught going against him, right?

Only problem is, how can you worship someone who threatens to dash infants to pieces? I have always assumed that the harming of innocents is the greatest evil imaginable.

Thats when The Rapture starts. God comes for his people and the ones that didnt follow him will be on the earth for 7 years of that kindof stuff. The first 3 1/2 years anyway..the last 3 1/2 is Gods Wrath... when you see the sun it will scortch you so quickley..astroids will hit the earth, balls of fire, almost everything you could imagine. Read the left behind series..like the tribulation and stuff. It goes into detail about everything. Its scary but somthing to read about because i feel that it wont be to much longer. Also look up 101 Last Days Prophesies on the net. Then you'll know what Im talking about!

You should read the whole chapter. In Isaiah 13:9 it says, "Behold the day of the Lord is coming, cruel, with fury and burning with anger. To make the land a desolation, And He will exterminate it's sinners from it." That passage is for sinners, people in Babylon who were sinning against God.

God's grace is sufficient for them, but if they won't accept it and ask for God's forgiveness, God's glory will be shone. He is a awesome and mighty. This passage was a vision seen by Isaiah son of Amoz. God bless!

It means that God's wrath is just as real as His love.

Yes, God is love, but we, as human, define love as some emotional huggy kissy thing. In reality, God's love is without emotion. Agape love is not a human emotion, it is a spiritual ability to do what is right, or best, regardless of the consequence.

It is right to punish those who have shown themselves enemies to God. Take out the emotion, and you will see that God is just.

Justice is something we all want, unless it happens to be against us.

Isn't this about the end of times?

I think it's talking about when God sends his angels down to kill the un-faithful, everyone will scurry around trying to get away....When sheep don't have someone(or something) to lead them, they get afraid and just wander around. When Gazelles are being hunted they run and run and run until they can't run anymore.

This is going to happen in the end of the times. Remember, Children will be in the presence of the Lord as soon as they die.

start at verse one, then continue onward

verse 11 gets to the point "Thus I will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their guilt. I will put an end to the pride of the arrogant, the insolence of tyrants I will humble."

God is going to kill you because he hates you and he hates what we've all become. And he's not going to stop with just you. He's going to kill your children, rob your house and rape your wife. All because we didn't give the church 10% of what we have.

Sounds like someone I would like to worship...
