When you take your dog out for a walk, why do you allow your mutt to take a crap in other people's yards?

And don't lie and say that you pick up after your dog, either. I bet that maybe .5% of all dog owners actually are conscientious.

Are you just lazy or just inconsiderate? And how would you feel if I dropped my trousers and launched a Democrat on YOUR front yard?

Where did I get the .5% guess?

Because I live in a nice, dogwalking neighborhood. I've watched plenty of people walk their dogs over the years, and seen plenty of dogs relieve themselves, and I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY DOG OWNER STOOP TO PICK UP. None. Period.

Wow let me guess your neighbors do this to you? I don't let my dogs walk on other peoples grass they walk on the side walk so they can only do there business in my yard not where ever the mood strikes! I totally agree with you! My neighbor lets there dog out and it always goes for my yard. SO I picked up all of it put it in a box and took it to there front door with a note attached that said "I think this belongs to you!!!"

I have large dogs so the poop is big there dog is a small little guys so I could tell the difference between the two poop sizes!

Maybe you should go poop on someones yard! They might get the point then!

Good Luck

It's just like everything else.. People think the rules don't apply to them. They don't care what you think,
or whether not you need to clean up after them.. They have a big high opinion of themselves, and are selfish and rude.

Very likely tho they have something in their life that someone does to them, and they absolutely hate it, and probably pitch a fit over it.. They would never think back to the crap they left on your lawn, cause the whole world revolves around them..

But the nice thing is, usually people who tend to think that they are above the rules, end up finding out somewhere in their lives that the rules do apply to them... And even if we never find out how they learned the lesson, we can be happy in knowing that somewhere, sometime, they will be taught that the world does not revolve around them. You put up with dog crap, they very likely have a much bigger problem to deal with!

Where'd you come up with the 0.5% statistic? I live in an area that has 1 dog for every 20 people, or so, and I don't have this problem.

I can appreciate that you are frustrated, but lashing out at the rest of us and accusing us of not cleaning up after our dogs is almost as offensive as someone else's dog crap in your yard.

I hate that people let their dogs do this. When I walk my dogs, they have to stay next to me for the whole walk, which is usually just around our block. When we get home, I let them relieve themselves in my yard and clean it up afterwards. I see people walking their dogs around all the time. Lots of them don't even have their dogs leashed. Then when their dog does their duty in my yard, they walk away like nothing ever happened. I know it isn't from my dogs, because I always clean up after them and it just aggravates me that people think this is ok , and just walk away. I wish people that do this would realize that there is a law which requires you to clean up after your dog. One of these days people will get what they deserve for letting their dogs do this and not clean up after them. I am an owner of 4 miniature pinschers and they all go in one area of my yard, which makes it easy for me to keep cleaned up. That is also why I know other peoples dogs use my yard. It is crazy.

Now now. We know you're angry. BUT you're also grossly misguided - and bordering on abuse here. Your nasty, almost threatening reaction to a specific individual is bordering on abuse. That is not acceptable behavior - and it weakens your case.

This isn't a lie, either.

Perhaps you should direct your wrath at the specific individual who lets his dog use your yard for a toilet by reporting him/her to the local authorities.

Many communities have "pooper laws" where there are stiff fines for not cleaning up after your dog. I for one would rather pick up dog-doo than pay the fine - which gets steeper the more times you're ticketed.

Perhaps you should petition your city council for such an ordinance in your community.

I have seen signs in this area that people put in their yards that say "My yard is not a toilet!" Kinda cracks me up.

I actually live in a townhome complex and in the by-laws it says that if you are caught not picking up after your dog, you can be fined $50. Trust me. Around here, it gets picked up.

I don't have a dog and I feel the same, especially when I go to work in my yard!
