I think its an inner choice so self would be the obstacle. Everyone chooses for themself (levels the field, don't you think :) so they must overcome themselves and open up to love and possibilities. Pride and intellect are probably the most difficult to overcome. I think most people do not like the idea of being dependant on anyone, even God. And others think they are too smart to consider a being greater than humans. We are the top of the food chain, right.? If someone can overcome self, then they stand a chance.

What we deem as wisdom is foolishness to God, so he chose the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. The Cross is a stumbling block, because it is so unadorned until the Holy Spirit "turns the Light on that we might see the Glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." If one has no hidden agenda, and has a heart for the truth, if they seek, they will find.

Personal pride. That is, not being willing to humble oneself.

God doesn't hinder salvation since He makes it freely available to everyone.

Man (or other people) can try to hinder salvation, or perhaps even ignorantly do so, but the bottom line is if someone genuinely prays to God for some kind of help (whether they understand that it's salvation they're looking for or not) God will indeed answer in some way.

It's all about personal decision. So my answer would be "ourselves".

learn the gospel, have self assurance it,baptism, get carry of the holy ghost via the laying on of palms(affirmation), stay righteously.whilst you're no longer born into the church in any respect. you will take the discussions w/ missionaries training a million-4.i do no longer think of you need to flow each of ways by way of. yet once you're baptized they flow over a million-4 back. i think in addition they end the discussions in case you joined before ending, no longer uncommon.then you definitely in simple terms attend church and keep gaining information of! God Bless!

The history and current practice of organized religion ofter stops people from getting 'it' directly from the source, normally out of a desire for control or self-preservation.

Your answer: Man's self will

Jesus said that He knocks at the door of the heart. He who receives me in to his life, Iwill be with him and He shall sup with me at Eternity. What a Glorios experience that is.!!!

Ego and pride.

All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation... it is the coming in The Way that is hard for most... it requires first that ego and pride of self be stripped away

Basically, it's mankind, as a whole.. we don't want to accept God as He is, and as the bible tells us he is, because we can't see, nor feel Him, except in our hearts..
Too many people tend to block Him out, and then, when the Holy Ghost no longer moves them, they can't figure out why not..
Thomas doubted and he was a disciple, and Jesus told him, to paraprhase, You are blessed because you have seen, but, even more blessed are those who have not seen, and yet, have faith in the Word.
I already have Him as my saviour, and have salvation.

Man and ourselves. We are afraid of what others will say. We have our own blocks and doubts inside that tell us maybe it isn't real. Those can be hard to overcome.

I think people just don't want to give up their worldly ways.
They think they have to change, before they can ask the Lord
to save them, and don't realize it is He who changes us.
Some people have been brought up to believe that God is mad at them, that is sad, because He is such a forgiving GOD.
