I know there are different body types and it all depends on how she carries it, but in general what is she more likely to be? I'm just not a good judge of weight things. Also, should I take into account that she's probably dropped her weight 10-15 lbs from what it really is?

Somewhere in the middle.
Her BMI would be 23.4
BMI Scale:

Underweight = <18.5
Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
Overweight = 25-29.9
Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

Not a good judge? She told you her weight - how do you think she looks? Can't you tell by looking at her?

Depends how big her bones are & individual preference, ya think? I personally think that's pretty slim if it's a true weight, unless she's very small boned. I'm 5'8, big boned and weigh 155 and I wear a junior size...

Now - if she's 5'6' and 160 - she's probably a tiny bit meaty.

Well from my perspective when I see someone who is that height and weighs that amount I would say they are more on the skinny side than average or heavey. The ironic thing is I am 5-6 and weigh 137 lbs and I feel that I am heavey, and I even distribute my weight evenly. Everyone tells me I'm skinny but I can't see it. I think we are just self conscience. Don't worry, you aren't fat that's for sure!! Also, according to health web sites, for our height and weight we are normal. Normal weight for people our height is right around 150 lbs, so don't stress!!

Normal would be 120-155. The main thing is to look healthy. And she has to listen to her body. If she feels comfortable in her own skin, good for her!! But if she feels fat, she should lose that 10-15 pounds. Hope this helped answer your question. :) -L

She is very close to the proper weight. She could lose 5 or 10 more pounds, but that is all.

5'6" and 145 is great! That is the average weight that you would want to be at 5'6". I have been trying to get to that weight for years now.

Average to slightly heavy for a woman of ordinary body composition. If she is quite muscular, she may appear thinnish.
