A lot of people are hurting for reason or another. Doesn't matter your beliefs, things sometimes just hurts and that really sucks.

I know I've had my share of hurts. Despite what you rbeliefs, I really do wish that all of your hurts can be wiped away. Then again, I suppose it is the hurt that shapes our characters and makes us stronger or breaks us...

Kind of like working out. The pain in the muscle hurts but after awhile it gets big and strong. So it is the same I think with life and it's hurts.

It may not seem so with a fresh hurt but think about the last time you were hurt. Think about what you learned from that experience. Did you not grow from it?

Without the hurt how can we grow?

How can we progress?

I think that joy is a resting period from the growth. A time of leisure to enjoy the fun things in life - perhaps yes, maybe learn from those as well.

Pain is the biggest teacher, whether physical or emotional. We experience, we process, and we change. Sometimes too much, we become cynical and jaded, but it's to avoid pain. We need pain, we need to hurt, we need the threat of it to truly appreciate what we have.

It's not a happy thought, but it's an honest one.

One cares one doesn't give a damn.

In your own words:

It may not seem so with a fresh hurt but think about the last time you were hurt.

Think... we have a choice to feel hurt or not. Hurt is internal. The world and universe spins just the same but it is our internal universe that hurts. What has changed but our perception?

Yes we can grow without hurt but first we must realize what that hurt means. See it for what it is. An internal dialog with ourselves puts us at ease not Prozac.

Until we realize that we don't have to feel the way we feel and that we're free to choose how we feel we won't be able to grow without hurt.

Ask yourself what do you want to progress to? What is your goal to progress? Where are you going? I am in a hurry to..................... fill in the blank.

We hold the key to our personal salvation we just seek it everywhere but ourselves.

Truth to a degree here We arent to embrace hurt as God dosent want us to feel it. But, we are to grow from it, be stronger, and allow God to heal us.
In pain and struggle, trials and tribulations, this is when we grow, but he doesnt want us to stay there.
and unless we are growing with God, we arent really growing. Growing in an do fyourself will lead only to more hurt and misery. Only God will never let us down.
SEek and you will find and all will be addedunto you.

You're correct, Christians should rejoice when we are suffering for the name of Christ, because we are growing.

A wise lady named Elizabeth Kubler-Ross once said :
"You will not grow if you sit in a beautiful flower garden. But you will grow if you are sick, in pain, experience losses, and if you do not put your head in the sand, but take the pain and learn to accept it, not as a curse or a punishment, but as a gift to you with a very, very specific purpose."

Every experience helps us to grow. I do think that sadness and hurt help us to be more empathetic. My friends who still have both of their parents cannot know what i have been through (both of my parents are dead).

I think hurt enables us to be more empathetic of those who are also hurtting.

I agree, but too much pain can also breed cynicism. I should know.
