Hello :),
I'd say that free will would have to be an idea describing a concept in "the world." Assuming an omniscient God with such wide-spread knowledge, one would even why He could not have foreseen such break-throughs as cloning, or at least some kind of divine intervention that would not possibly be caused by earthly reasons, like supposed reincarnations. Though that is hearsay, this generation's so used to sleights of hand and other deceptive manuevers that what is purported is examined closely.
Thus, can God be all-knowing?

I think that all of us are indeed chosen beforehand, but that God wants us to choose to give our lives in His hands, and the more we do this and make ourselves available to Him, (more of Him, less of ourselves) the more He will shape us and our circumstances, daily events, etc. and thus do have more control over our lives.
His children are like milions of cells in one body, each encoded with its own talents. A human cell is just a cell, but if you combine it with those around it, only then can it form a multi-cellular organism.
But God made no robots. (Why then was He so dissapointed in the fall of Adam & Eve?) As long as we are here on earth (exposed to many prinicipalities, emotions, diseases), the human factor is still present. Everyday we get to stand before decisions, and I am certain that God feels very passionately about what the cause and effects are in our daily lives.
Rembember, God already knows He had won Satan over, but for a short while He put us here on earth to be exposed to the prince of this earth, in order for us to build a godly character and thus love him more. You see, love is only love when it is grows out of free will. And God is love.
We must also realize that while Satan is still free, there are wars being raged in the spiritual realm between the angels and demons.
I can not think that the Creator can ever get bored by us. He is still busy creating every day, guiding us, changing us, loving us and feeling with us - towards the bigger picture!

i always thought my life was a comic book, not as good as archie or batman, but more like, "this is a life?"
I think that God wants us to come to Him on our own free will. sure God probably goes, "no, don't do that!" while we act like Homer Simpson on Earth.

God is supreme happiness, and it is inconceivable to imagine how he could be in sorrow since He is happiness itself.
