Junior would take the checkered flag in that 24 car and I would be cheering him all the way.

Well, they were going to let Mark Martin drive it if Jeff had to miss the race because of his baby, so I think a teammate would be preferable to an outsider.

Of course, after Jr. won the race in Jeff's car, they'd have to burn it. Can't mix mojos like that. Imagine a racer with Jeff Gordon's skills and Dale Jr.'s popularity on the HMS team...

What difference does it make. As long as he has good equipment and can win races it doesn't matter. But Jeff Gordon is not giving up the #24 and he won't be asked to. He is a good driver and so is JR, so all i want to see is Jr in that #8 if it can happen. But whatever he drives i will still root for him

there is one huge capture to the comprehensive state of affairs. Alan Gustafson is a sizeable Mark Martin fan and has been on account that he replaced right into a newborn. i do no longer think of that Alan could truly rejoice with doing it. What you're able to even see take place is (now that Mark Martin is on the verge of getting into the ideal 12) possibly run some extra races with Alan as Mark's group chief just to get Mark in a cushty place for Tony Eury to take over for some races. that would desire to enable Alan adequate time to artwork to get Dale Jr interior the ideal 12. would desire to there be a great progression in Dale's utilising then you truly can chalk Tony Eury Jr up as being the source of the project. I do prefer to work out how Dale runs with Alan for some races yet i do no longer think of it is reliable to take Alan remote from Mark completely. i think of that would desire to be unfair to Mark. it is a decision that would desire to have been made an prolonged time in the past via Dale Jr and he exceeded it up. ------- the only ingredient approximately Tony Eury Sr coming in as group chief is that Tony Sr has no adventure with the COT.

It would never, ever happen.. But, Let's think hypothetically for a minute... Junior comes out, dressed in a Dupont fire suit, flamed up gear, hopping in the... #24 car! It'd be total chaos. Streets would over run w/ crazed fans, burning buildings, women and children screaming.. Total Anarchy.

Ok, Back to reality...

Plagues of frogs and locusts, concession stand beer taps start pouring blood, and much wailing and gnashing of teeth as the Four Horse(power)men of the Apocalypse (Dick Trickle, Morgan Shepherd, Derrike Cope and Ward Burton) appear overhead like an F-16 flyover. The track splits apart, engulfing the entire field. As a result, the last driver sent home after qualifying, Michael Waltrip, is declared the winner.

And then hell freezes over....

This is a thought that never occured to me, but now I will have to pray to see this, Jr fans would lose it and the 24 would lose a race..... I love the idea. Bonus Star for you.

To quote Fire Marshall Bill, "But if it did happen, they would wonder where all the whining went."

I think what Bill meant to say is "But if it did happen, they would wonder where all the winning went."

They would have to put a throttle limiter on that #24 so Jr. could handle it.

That would mean Doomsday for the Jr. Nation is nearer than you think. Won't Happen, I hope. Besides Mr.Rick wouldn't like having to buy and build a new car for Jeff after Jr. wrecked it.
