You seem to be just rubbing the skin raw. The skin on your elbows is naturally rougher than the rest, and you're probably mistaking that for dry skin. Stop exfoliating and put some calming lotion on them.

Don't lean on them at all while using computer. Everyday in the shower use a loofah on them to scrub them of using a moisturizing body wash. When you get out of the shower slather some extra dry skin lotion. It should help. The loofah with the body wash in the shower everyday is a must, scrub them off.

Try the creams and what not, to see if they help. But you may also want to take into consideration, phsorioses, i know i spelled it wrong sorrie, but that could also be a problem, I had the same thing happend to me, just at my elbows at first, after i exhausted all my options, i kinda gave up on the creams and well after several months of these symptoms, they went away, only to reappear right above my elbow and on it again, I talked with my mom, and then my doc, it turned out to be that...Sorrie, also, it runs in my family and i never had a problem with it until a couple of years ago. it sorta just comes and goes when it wants to. expecially when i am stressed out or upset......

stop scrubbing it off. Start using a moisturing lotion 3-4 times a day.
