Will bleaching my hair help me pass a hair sample drug test?

but if you want to pass it i would say buy the special shampoo... i heard it burns allot but really works and drink a lot of water and stuff with citrus is also said to help pass drug test... and good luck....
PS you should stop taking whatever drug you are at LEAST 3 month before you start looking for a job....gives your hair enough time to grow since they basically ex-amen the root

Once again a person tries to get some information and all they get is a peanut gallery of assholes. Ppl who come on here to just criticize others have a bigger problem than the ones who are just looking for some advice. Half you ppl said.. don't do drugs. Okay well I do and I'm wondering if their is a method to clean my hair with. It's that damn simple. If you don't have a answer besides it being a smartass remark then why are you here? You here to be a DICK. That to me shows your character is lacking to say the least. Maybe some of you should smoke some weed. It might help you live a happier life.

even if dying/bleaching your hair would help you.. they can pull hair from any part of your body, including arms, legs, stomach, etc... so, assuming the bleaching did mess with the results, and they wanted to redo the test, they would most likely pull the hair from a different part of the body.

the longer the hair, tho, the farther back they can trace your drug use. if your head hair is 2 feet long, and you've been doing drugs for 3 years, they will be able to see that far back, plus be able to tell the types of drugs used at different intervals (assuming you have done different types).

Not unless you can take each one of your hairs out, bleach the hair folicle root, and then some how manage to get each one back in it's place.....

Hair sample drug tests are for the follicle, and no amount of hair color is going to affect that. However, hair follicle tests are the least effective method, and can easily be disputed.

First of all they cut the hair near the scalp. so obviously the root of the hair is not tested. Second, I have passed 2 separate hair test years ago. 1 from getting my hair permed; the 2nd time from getting my hair bleached. I wish all these idiots would shut the f*** up when they have no clue or experience!

nope, they test the whole hair, not just the surface. I'v got a great idea for passing the hair test, either shave your head bald, OR STOP DOING DRUGS!!!

this might work since bleach essentially strips everything out of the hair shaft.

but...

i heard if they can't get hair from your head, they will get it from another part of your body.

that means you'd have to bleach ALL your hair... and i don't know if i'd wanna be bleaching my private areas...

besides how sketchy will that look if you come into the drug testing facility completely bleached from head to toe.

I am not 100 percent sure but I think they can do the drug test on the root. You will not be able to dye the root of your hair as it is under the scalp. So i think it won't help to dye it.
