I'm surprised God hasn't cursed them and forced them to start speaking gibberish yet.

Of course not. Christians believe God is god of the Universe, not just earth.

But I have an even better explanation than that.

The ancients believed that the earth was at the center of the universe. The rest of the universe was made up of concentric spheres, like the layers of an onion. The first sphere around the earth was the sphere of the Moon, then the Sun, then the other planets, then the stars. The heavenly bodies were all moved by the hand of God, it was only on earth where we had 'physical laws' like gravity, etc.

The devil, they believed, only had power over the 'sublunary realm', that is to say, the area enclosed by the sphere of the moon--that is not the moon itself but the -orbit- of the moon. Everywhere else in the universe, anything past the orbit of the moon, was under the direct control of God and his angels. Evil existed only on the earth. We humans were the only beings in the universe who had free will (except for God himself, of course) and -we- existed only in the sublunary realm where the devil could influence us.

Well the Int'l Space Station is much lower than the moon. It is in the sublunary realm! So it has the same influence of the devil and of man's free will, and as far as the Second Coming goes, it's the same as being on earth.

Dear @@@,

The Bible says, "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen."

That means that every person that has or ever will live shall see the Jesus Christ.
