Since the US took advantage of sugar a couple of centuries ago (sugar cane workers especially), the price of sugar sold to the US is much higher than the price of sugar sold to ANY other country. Which is why the US had to come up with a sugar substitute (high fructose corn syrup). I just learned this is my economics class.

No idea, but isn't the coke in Mexico good? I especially like it out of a glass bottle. Although coke is a lot cheaper to buy in the U.S.

local bottlers have a choice of company approved sweeteners it just depends on where in the country or world you live and what has the best supply and price at a given moment. threes lots of sugar sweet ed Coke in the USA by the way.
