David Vitter of Louisiana was a habitué of a D.C. prostitute and is a big-time sanctity-of-marriage sort...How many more examples—beyond politicians like Gingrich, Livingston, Giuliani, and Limbaugh; beyond clergy like Jim Bakker and Ted Haggard—do conservative Christians need before they wake up to the truth: that their leaders' pledges of fealty to the concept of "traditional marriage" are meaningless? And that these leaders, as a body, are worthless, only out for themselves?http://commonsense.ourfuture.org/night_hunter?tx=3

Probably around the same time that Catholics realize that the primacy of Rome is based on forged documents, that Peter's papacy was pure fiction, and that Popes Linus and Anacletus were as historical as Peter Pan.
This would, of course, be the same time that Mormons realize that Joseph Smith was a plagiarist con man, that Muslims realize that Islam is not a religion of peace, and that Jehovah's Witnesses realize that Jesus isn't coming back... ever.

Wow are you one of those people who's never ever done anything wrong ever! Here I thought the only one to live a sinless life was Jesus!
Dude, you need a reality check....not trying to be mean but Christians are human and while I share some of your sentiments I can't say that I am and always have been a perfect example of Christianity and my guess is neither can you.
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God and while some people's sins are broadcasted over the news that doesn't really make them any worse than those of the common individual that nobody considers newsworthy. That said, I understand that politics is a nasty business and that many times individuals can disappoint you, however I don't think its fair to lump every single one of them together, nor do I believe that just because a person makes a mistake you should consider them worthless.
As for their leadership I don't believe Christians should look to their political leaders for spiritual guidance. We already have a leader His name is Jesus Christ. :-D

The Christian Right will realize it when the Atheist Left realize it. It depends where you are on this issue. I don't know that it really has anything to do with being Conservative or Liberal. You sound very mean and hateful. You should take a deep breath and not be so mad. You may have a heart attack.

Umm, my "leader" is Christ, not any man or men. Any Christian should say the same.

I know what you mean. Well-meaning Bible-believing Christians have made a textbook faustian bargain with the GOP. The REAL agenda of the GOP has nothing to do with morality or faith, it's all about concentrating wealth and weakening government to give corporations more power.
And I think they're beginning to realize it! Hopefully anyway. If you judge by deeds instead of words it becomes much more obvious.

Do you mean they are human?????????? And sin????
Just as EVERYone else does-???
Christians aren't perfect.........
they are just Forgiven....................................
I thought the same thing once-- then I remembered the story of the men bringing the woman to Jesus-- because she sinned-- his response...??
Let you without sin cast the first stone.................. hmmmmm they all left......
I know I am not without sin-- so I have no right to judge when they have commited a sin-- if they ask for forgiveness- they are forgiven-- Only God knows the heart.....................

It's not God's fault that people fall into sin. So what's your point? We all are sinners, I don't put them on a pedal stool.

Are you trying to tell us that politicians lie?
I think that we knew that already.
