....thats in my icon bar at the bottom right of my computer screen?? It keeps saying "Updates are ready for your computer-click here to install these updates"...is this another virus trying to trick me again into installing it??

No not at all
It is Microsoft telling you that you have updates

It is not a virus
click it and install it
The updates just came out today
I just updated my computer

It's part of Windows Updates. You've probably enabled Windows Updates to automatically download all updates, but to advise you before installing them. Go to Control Panel and open Security Center, and then open Automatic Update. If "Turn off Automatic Updates" is already selected, then you may have a problem, otherwise your system is just behaving as it was set up to do.

Nope, this is the Windows install shield...it actually works to prevent you from downloading bad things! If you click it, it will give you a list of the things it wants to install...in most cases, it is a Windows security update though I've also seen it pop up for other programs I've installed from the Internet (e.g., a java or shockwave update).

These are automatic Windows updates for your computer...your operating system is set to detect updates automatically for your computer, and when they are available they will let you know. I just had that happen this morning, and had all of my updates installed w/o problem. Go ahead...it won't hurt you!

no, its a windows update, not a virus. double click on it and install the updates.

They are Windows Updates and they issue them starting on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.

They are extremely important for the safe and secure operation of your computer. Get 'em!

that is windows, if you get a yellow triangle with a question mark in it that tells you that you have spyware and need to update (but in bad grammar) then that is spyware and you should get rid of it asap. the little shield is ok thoguh

no its not a virus....it means your computer is ready for updates...i never click it but it wont hurt....
