As an Atheist I would like to apoligize to people of faith for the rude behavior and blind hatred coming from my Atheist friends. It's shameful...Sorry. If they would only apply our standards to themselves this would never happen.

JK means joke. I hope the point got accross though. It's not for anyone too apoligize for me or others. Heck, they may be one of the "others", you don't know. I don't apoligize for anything that i've ever written in this forum. I'll be the first to tell you if I do.

OK I have been a little rude on occasion. I admit it.

Apologies to anyone my sarcasm has offended. R&S is less a question and answer site, then a debate site; no matter how it was originally intended. In the course of our discussions we disagree, I may make the point blunt on occasion, but only in the attempt to shake someone up enough that they will think about the issue under discussion without their preconceived ideas.

I love how few are catching the JK...

Besides, I am never rude. I just call their God a bigoted, self-aggrandizing, ego maniacal, megalomaniacal, jackass with the attention span of a maggot and temper of a two year old.

Either that or a myth which means all of the vile things in the world are either natural occurrences or a result of man.

The way I see it, is that if U come here to discuss things with the "Community", U need to have a "Thick Skin" to deal with the "Entire Community". Of course I won't put up with bad language, but as a Christian, we are In this World, but Not Of this World. So I just try to help all, as U never know who will stop by, maybe even Ur Mom??? John

I tried to IM you just now. Are you open to discuss this? I appreciate your apology and accept it, but you are apologizing for what others do. They will not as a whole stop, I know this.

Perhaps you are also assuming that there is a standard that Atheists hold. They do not claim any standards typically. So what standard is there which I am unaware of?

Thank-you. That's very considerate. I should apologize for the Christians who speak rudely to those with misguided faith or, as in your case, no faith at all. Jesus never did this except to those professed to follow God but didn't. Even as truth was on His side (well, He is truth) He approached the lost with love and compassion. If we are to be Christ-like, we should do the same. Thanks, again.

All I can say is...AMEN!

I also would like to extend the same sentiment toward you and others for being a target of hard line fundies. If only they followed the words of Jesus themselves.

I thank you. You seem to be one of a few that do not seek to make fun of and name call Christians.

But, you shouldn't have to apologize for the ignorant actions of other people. People also shouldn't generalize, even though it is an easy thing to do, and I have been guilty of it myself.

Not all Atheists are rude.
Not all Christians are rude.

You seem really smart and mature. My goodness where did you go to school? I'd love to send my kids there so they can turn out just like you.
