I am going thru a very difficult time right now and have placed all my hope, faith, and trust in God. I want to know it is not just wishful thinking. I have asked Him to show me He exists in a way that is undeniably Him.

God actually called me back to him when I drifted away...Once you seek God, read the bible, learn how others related to Him, you will be able to know Him.

He does not have to prove anything, why should He? There is no such place as hell, the Catholic Church has admitted to having invented the hot house as a way of controlling it's masses. Blackmail works very well in organised religion, so therefore there is no torture, no gnashing of teeth etc. For the Catholics out there, you would know this if you actually listened to what the Pope says in between the prayers and orders that he deals out. Look at it from another point, He is all around you, in the blade of grass, the flower, the clean air, everywhere. Look and you will see Him, he is more visible than you or I. We have all been blinkered by the Church so it's time now to start thinking for ourselves and just as important LOOK. It's so easy to take the bible literally, be told what to think and do, how to behave to please church hierarchy. Organised religion is the big cop out and the lazy mans prop. Think about the whole thing through without outside influences and you will come to vastly different conclusions based on your own thoughts and observation. Do your own research and don't we swayed by other peoples opinions, it's for you to find your way, the way that makes you happy and makes the most sense to you.

God does exist and in many ways shows that he exist everyday...Your right to keep your hope, faith, and trust in him. Just today he answered my prayer. My grandpa's been real sick the past few days, and this morning at 3:30 my grandma decided to take him to the emergency room. He could not even stand up he was in bad shape. My mom woke me up and told me she was going to go help. I took a few minutes and prayed that God would be with him, allow a safe trip, and asked that what ever was wrong with him to be healed, and that he could have strength. God answered my prayer..He got back few a few hours ago, and is still sick but no where near as bad, and is now moving around. God has answered many of my prayers and been with me many of times. God will help you and he is there for you, he sticketh closer than a brother.
God Bless You.

Pray, pray and pray some more. And ask plenty of questions, like "God what does this mean? How do I serve you better? How do I love my mother and honor her even if she is abusive?" Things like that.

Praying, reading the Bible and asking questions started my relationship with God. Over the years, I've learned more how to pray and the types of prayers that God answers, and how he answers.... so I'm wiser about it now. Fellowship is also key, so make sure you find some other believers who are mature (and not crazy), have shown that they care about you, and you personally respect. Ask them questions too, and just spend time with them.

Another thing that showed me that God is real and faithful is my obedience to him. There have been times in the past where obedience to God seemed like a death sentence, but I did it anyway, and God totally came through. For example, if you know that you need to reject what another person wants you to do, but you feel threatened by them, reject it anyway out of obedience to God. Do the right thing. I've done that and God has completely broken bad situations right in front of me. It showed me he has more power than any human situation or person, and is faithful to those who trust him!

You are going to get a lot of crap answers to this one, most of them you can ignore.

Yes God has shown me he exists but not in such away as most of the mental midgets would expect.

You are on the right path. Ask God to clearly reveal himself and make your path abundantly clear and he will.

It happened to me with a very difficult decsion I had to make and time after time, step by step he showed that the decision was his and all I had to really do is leave it in his hands. And I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt that my life is 100 percent better now than it was before, when I was struggling to make that decision.

A couple of years ago I was facing a very difficult time in uni, and really had to raise my gpa. I almost lost hope because nothing and I mean absolutley nothing was going my way. My relationship with the world was almost dead. And thats where I decided to seek help from the only one left for me, God. Although I didn't really believe in him, I prayed and prayed, and asked him to show me he exists.I tried to study and do my best, but the finals were real hard and I really lost hope at that time. But guess what.. I got myself a gpa of 3.83 out of 4!!
And everything and I mean absolutely everything started going my way since then!

My middle son was born with a terrible and rare medical problem. He was dying. The doctors even told me to call in any relatives who wanted to see him before he died. You better believe I prayed. And guess what? 21 years later, I still have my miracle.
God not only brought peace to myself and my wife, he started helping my son right after I prayed. Then, he provided the means to have my son flown to the childrens hospital in Utah, where it just so happened that the doctors and the rest of the team, who had treated the only other case of the disorder where in practice.(unbeknownst to anyone) And, he then guided the hand of the surgeon who saved my sons life.
God answers all prayers. Sometimes the answer is no. But he always has a reason, and the answer is there for you to find.
God also made sure that time, really does heal all wounds.
Good luck

It's good that you asked for a sign. Just remember that sometimes signs are small, we tend to put doubt into our minds...so stay clear.
I do know that God exists because of the work that I do. I know there is a heaven and different realms. I also know of spirit guides that are by our sides and angels.
I have had many validating things that have happened that can't be denied or explained away!
When we go through troubles, we need to sit down and clear our minds and figure out where we are going in this life and how to get there. I find that most people get confused and fall into a trap of what others want us to be...
However, we have to do all the work ourselves, things may be placed into our paths for a sign, but we still have to go out and work for it, find it....things just don't fall into our laps.
Keep hanging in there, you'll come out ok.

Let's take the blinders off. We exist. I don't know where it comes from, like the wind, but i understand these things clearly. I know it is from THE HOLY SPIRIT. and by believing all things are possible through CHRIST if i believe. Having faith means moving mountains. That doesn't mean happiness necessarily in this world. GOD hasn't given us this promise. But GOD promises are fulfilled in the KINGDOM TO COME . .. and that takes real faith and trust . .. that though you cry and suffer today . .. in time GOD will wipe away all tears . .. there is a great mystery to suffering . .. Why does GOD allow people to suffer? Of course GOD has asked us to help one another, so in this sense as images of GOD we are supposed to act like JESUS, and see JESUS in the least of people.

More so, consider people . .. now some say we are just evolved apes . .. but it denies a lot about human behavior, the need for clothing, and issues with nudity . .. animals aren't ashamed of their bodies, i think people who dress up their animals are silly . . . this of course is a scar from the original sin when death came into the world . .. there's a great mystery in this as well, but the sea of people have all come from one man, abraham . .. and before him from noah and from ultimately adam and eve . .. and people are above the animals . .. not just top of the food chain but stewards of GOD's green Earth . ..

What i am saying is look around you, particularly at people. I do realize some will say we are just animals, but then why among nature do people pray . .. the logical mind will see GOD is self-evident in creation ... and it should be obvious that people are out of place . .. in that they build and conquer, and dominate the world often being wicked to one another and committing henious acts that are just unnatural . .. thinking their bodies are just a possession like clothes, but hide it in clothes and defile it with sin and decorate it with vanity . .. sometimes doing so but denying they are anything but animals . .. of course that makes it easier to do as one pleases if they can deny GOD exists . ..

Without showing you signs, and wonders, and miracles, perhaps this will help you believe . .. but if signs, wonders and miracles will help you believe . .. ask with a sincere heart . .. GOD answers prayer.

-LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.

First i like to bring out to people the earth, Romans 1:20 says - For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world's creation onward, because they are percieved by the things made, even his eternal power and godship so that they are inexcusable.
This alone proves his existance. 1 John 4:8 says "God is Love"
And James 4:8 says "draw close to god and he will draw close to you." You can e-mail me if you would like to know more!

You seem to be asking for more faith. Thing, but listen to me, I have been a Christian for over 20 years and understand the 'second thoughts' , the temptation for 'double - thinking'.

Get off Yahoo!Answers, turn off the freaking computer, turn off the music, and get yourself alone with God. Talk to Him, He answers. If you are without something to talk to Him about, then allow your spirit to make intercession for you, it can do that. It makes 'groanings which cannot be uttered.'

So get to it! Remember that we tend to get lost in the cares of the world.

Then after all that, get back on the internet and hear someone preach God's word. For faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

You want to trust Him, do not feed the flesh, but the spirit. Listen to the things that are spiritual, in quiet thoughtful and godly ways.
