How much did your Chihuahua weigh at 9 weeks?

Just wondering how much your Chi weighed at 9 weeks , mine weighs 3.5 lbs. I guess she is gonna be a large one. She is a purbred- AKC- But is she gonna be that big?

My rat terrier weighed in at 2.8 lbs at nine weeks and she is now 5 months and almost 10 lbs so your dog is most likely going to be a pretty big chihuahua

Yes, she is going to be a big chihuahua. That doesn't mean she's any less perfect or any less purebred.

Typically, the rule for toy breed dogs is to triple the eight week weight, and possibly add a pound, and that will be the adult weight. Its not always true, but its a good estimation, so I'd estimate that your chihuahua will weigh about 10-12 lbs.

Oh, and to answer your question, I know he's not a chihuahua, but my yorkie weighed 1.3 lbs at 9 weeks.

I have 3 full-grown Chihuahuas, one that is 12 pounds (and was about 3 pounds when I got him as a puppy), one that is 8 pounds (about 2 pounds at 8 weeks), and one boy that is only 5 pounds (about 1/2 pound at 8 weeks). So, you're girl is probably going to be a big girl, but my 12 pounder is a neutered male that basically lies around the house all day. She will probably be over the AKC standard of 6 pounds for Chihuahuas, but the larger ones are always more fun anyway!

One of my chis weighed 8 oz at nine weeks. She is now an overweight 4 lb. Most of my pups weigh about 1.5 lb at 8 weeks. Your chi is going to be big, maybe 8-10 lb.
