I know what you are talking about. A few years ago I worked for the Portland Public school system. During our weekly meetings I often had to endure endless Jesus talk. So one day I told them all I was a witch and didn't believe in the divinity of Jesus, and more so, I found Christianity offensive.
The next day I was called into the office of the manager where I was told that I shouldn't talk about my religious beliefs. Luckily for me I come from a family heavily populated with Labor and Employment lawyers. I knew full well that a tax payer funded school had no right to censure my religious beliefs if every other employee was allowed to talk about theirs... So, religion became a topic no one talked about. If they can't hear my religion, I don't have to hear theirs. I was fine with hearing about Jesus if I could then talk about Druids, but not if I had to keep quiet. But if I didn't know my rights, the whole situation would have been much different. I would have had to shut up and hear about Jesus without being able to give my opinion on the matter.

Sure you can, that doesn't mean anyone wants to listen. I mean really, one person speaks about a belief they feel strongly about, then you want to most likely just bash their beliefs, and you don't have the common sense to figure out how intolerance of others beliefs is ignorant and annoying? If you really wanted to discuss it, that would be different, but honestly, most of the non-believers on this site aren't exactly mature atheists, most are simply bashers and trolls, so unless you're one of the very few mature atheists on this site, its' very doubtful you'd be doing anything other than bashing.

Who said you can't talk about your lack of belief? What is there to talk about though? Once you say "I don't believe" that pretty much ends it, doesn't it?

I have no problem at all. If the subject of religion comes up, and I'm asked what church I go to, I tell them right off that I'm a non-believer.Sometines they will ask questions about why I don't believe as they do. I answer in a polite way. I am never anxious to get involved in an arguement - - but I won't avoid one either.

whats there to talk about for you.
nothing right.

so you can simply state without any emotion or whatever, I dont belive in anything.
there cant be a way to justify there being no God, beacuse if you looked youd find out there cant not be 1 True God.

But if you want to bable about nothing then go for it.

Talk away brother.

Of course it is hard to talk about what you don't believe in and the list can get quite long.

I don't believe in Nekomata, but why should I bring that up?

Why would you want to talk about your lack of belief? For me disbelief is a fact of life that I've never felt the need to justify or explain.

Why? It's because we're branded immoral and evil when we say we don't follow the words of a book of ancient fairy tales.

No, it's not fair. But it is getting better. We'll catch up with Europe eventually.
