Popcorn contains fiber and fiber can potentially cause gas and bloating. Every healthy person has good bacteria that live in their lower intestines. This good bacteria helps break down some of the foods we can’t digest like fiber from plant products. The bacteria produce methane as a by product of the break down and this is one of the common causes of flatulence. Fiber is extremely important in maintaining a healthy digestive track, you also need it to keep regular and avoid uncomfortable constipation.
The salt is one of the elements that causes the unpleasant odder. I hope this answers your question.

Popcorn contains no protien so it shouldnt make you gassy. The high fiber content of it will probably help bind your stool and should make for a nice solid turd. The salt might cause a little bloat because it draw the water into itself and keeps its in your body. Eating 2 bags of popcorn is probably not a good idea though, thats too much sodium and too much fat for not getting any nutrition out of it (besides the fiber).
