I have tried waxing at home but it never seems to work very well. We couldnt get all the hairs out, we spent ages trying!!
Would it work better getting it done properly, or would it be just the same?
The hairs we did get out were back in less than a week.

I've tried both and would always recommend if you can afford it going to salon. not only is the job done better - especially the fiddly bit at the back of the leg but it's much quicker, cleaner and you dont have any sticky, messy stuff to clear up.
For some strange reason i have always found it lasts longer when done in salon - must use a special magic wax or something.
Anyway it's nice to be pampered by a beautician - in a painful, leg-hair pulling kind of way...

I only ever wax at home and it is usually okay. Perhaps it is the type of wax you are using - check if it water soluble, if it is and your skin is damp then maybe the wax will not adhere to the hair properly, most waxes are not water soluble though. The other thing I do which you could try is use some surgical spirits on the skin to remove any traces of deodorants, cream etc and that will make sure that it is adhering to the hair. If the hair is too short the wax won't be able to remove it. The best way is to make sure it is long enough and then wax. You might have a week of waiting but after you have waxed you should have about 4 -6 weeks hair free and as time passes and you exclusively only wax the hair will maybe not grow back at all. Go to a salon and have it done... They have better wax and better tools.... You should get at least 2 weeks out of it the first time, and if you keep doing it, you'll get longer lasting results.
BTW - don't do it the week you're PMSing, it'll hurt like nobody's business! Take three Advils right before you go, it'll take some of the pain out of it...

Yeah go to a proffessional - its great. They get all the hairs out and it last between 4 - 6 weeks. You can relax and its much easier.

go to a salon....leg waxing is brilliant and some of the hairs never grow back...or try epilating

your hairs have to be at least 1/8 inch longg. no longer than 1/2. the shorter hairs won't get pulled out if they are hekka short. just wait till it grows then go to salon [=

Go to the beauticians, better results. Make sure you exfoliate well before hand.

i would go to a spa, or salon where they do waxing. it is a little pricy but it is definately worth it.

i prefure shaving. wax strips macks my legs all spotty
