Would the pope be saved? I can't answer that question.

Does the Pope present an accurate version of the teachings of Christ, that I can answer. And that answer is no.

Between the numerous heresies that have accumulated in the Catholic church over the past millennium to extra-biblical salvation requirements (i.e. one must confess their sins to a priest to receive absolution) the Catholic church doesn't accurately represent Christ or his teachings.

The Catholic church's hierarchy is a relic left over from a time when men focused more on using religion to control nations as opposed to evangelism. A time when actually reasoning with men wasn't as important since the power of the state could force the unwilling to worship.

The pope will be accountable to all he leads astray. Woe to him!
The pope accepts worship as if he is Christ. Jesus will come back, and I wouldn't want to be in the pope's shoes then.
I agree with "t d" I use to think Islam was the false prophet, but, now I am leaning more towards the pope. Keep Watch, children of the Most High!!! Keep Watch, and Pray!!! There is more than meets the eye!

As a converted catholic to evangelical belief.
I don't think the popes work is true Christianity but is the pope a christian I believe this one is but watch out for the next one. He will neither be christian or interested in Christ's commands.

Most non-Catholic Christian denominations accept Catholics as Christians. A very few do not.

A dictionary would say that a Christian is someone professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.

Catholics would fit this definition.

In the Nicene creed, from 325 A.D., Catholics profess:

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father.

Through Him all things were made.

For us and our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died, and was buried.

On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the scriptures: He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We are baptized as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19, "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

We truly are spiritually "born again," we just don't usually use those words.

For a complete description of what Catholics believe, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/index.htm

With love in Christ.

Pope=anti-christ

Of course he would. But your take on Christianity is very misleading. Jesus founded the Catholic Church. Read your New Testament and stop smoking the stuff.
Jesus said to Peter<" Thou art Peter, and upon this Rock I will build my Church." The present Pope is a great model of Christian life and living.
Drop the liberalism and get real.

there are lots of people who believe the pope to be the beast of revelation. until a few days ago, i thought these people were all just anti-catholic hatemongers. now, i'm not so sure they were wrong.

i want to get along with catholics. i want ALL christians to have the common bond that is the love of Christ. we can see past our differences and still count ourselves as christian brothers and sisters, but when we're told that we're not christian because we don't pray to mary, something is seriously wrong. i can expect some catholics to call protestants ''heretics.'' i've even heard catholic priests say that on occasion. it's just our human nature to attack what is different. but when the pope himself calls every christian church except the roman church a ''cult,'' he does nothing at all to inspire christian brotherhood. instead, he tries to take us back to the 1600's ''holy war'' mindset again. i cannot tell you what God's judgment of the current pope will be. all i can say is that i pray this ''infallible'' pope will soon see the error of his ways, before he can spread more hateful lies.

Jesus and his followers taught the lessons that were additions to the words of the ancient prophets. The Roman Catholic Church has a fundamental difference to the Old Testament teachings, so my answer is "no".

I have no clue.
I think he (the Pope) has the right idea but he has this worshipping thing that some people do. What's with that? It's not like the Pope is any different than any of us. Except he doesn't have sex. . .
