Religion is faith and wisdom based. Science is based upon logic - A SYSTEM of reasoning, A MODE of reasoning. Science within the constraints of tools it uses to analyze things has made plausible the "possibility" for God's existence. Look at SETI. But they don't know anything for certain. This is why I'm not going to wager my life, sanity, hope, and salvation upon the feable laws of science. Science is limited to the concepts of the time.
Because man's scientific reasoning can't explain God in a way that conforms to his own set of rules doesn't at all mean that He doesn't exist. Even an IDIOT knows that it takes an imagination to compose music though he doesn't know the name of the composer(s). And this world is a vastly complex one.
Since science cannot place God under a microscope or expound upon Him. They try to replace Him with "theories". And replace his creation with "theories". In other words assumptions. Something to work for now (for they whom create them). Until God bows down to science and explains Himself in a manner fitting to scientists. Or something "better" (the next theory) comes along. This is what they'll have. The assumption of something imagined up by those trying to explain that which is far beyond them - theories.
The fallacy is that many non-believers can't accept this for what it is - a place holder. And place the very foundations of their lives upon it. Like a castle in the sand.
What man but an uneducated one who lives in a figment of his own imagination can say that the world will last much longer in its present state? What fool flatters himself to say that science can heal men's hearts but one who degrades himself to think he is nothing more than a meaningless, briefcase toting, keyboard punching, baboon. I know better than this my friend.
And while they go on contemplating and debating their existence, people of faith have already found its meaning. It was given to us by God. And NO man can pick apart what God has put together.
God bless

I think "God" is a nonsense word made up to explain away all of the things that we can't yet understand. In addition, the silly stylized rituals of organized religions are nothing but brainwashing techniques used to keep scared little children in line and obeying orders. These rituals give them some sense of security and a feeling of belonging.
I don't have all the answers, or know how the universe was created but I certainly don't feel the need to make up a nonsense word to explain away all of the uncertainties.

... Wheras all Christians have to do is say "look at this, it says it in my book!"
Scientists are unsure about how (alive) DNA formed out of (not alive) amino acids - DNA is made up of hundreds and hundreds of amino acids all in the right order, which is very unlikely.
That was unlikely. Not impossible. It is unlikely you will win the lottery, but every week people do.
Just because science doesn't understand it it doesn't make it untrue. Only religion claims to know everything there is to know about everything NOW.

Scientists can prove plenty.
That's pretty much the entire POINT of the scientific method as a means of inquiry.
It's the clergy that doesn't have an evidential leg to stand on.

The origin of everything must be random and uncaused - it's the only answer that doesn't lead to logical impossibilities. As it happens, quantum physics says that existence is indeed random and uncaused, and it supports this contention with objective experimental evidence, which neatly fits with what reason tells us anyway.

Your the one with the claim of how it happened. Bring up some real evidence to substantiate your claim.
Otherwise it is all just so much waffle and hot air.
