My husband doesn't want me to get any more tattoos...he thinks they take away from my beauty...that they're too bold. I want a large oak all over my back and/or a fern on the whole length of my left thigh. Ohhh and he doesn't want me to get my nipples pierced either!! I don't know what to do.

you and your husband need to sit down and have a talk about what is important to you. definitely pick your battles, but if this is something that you really want then you should let him know that it means a lot to you and maybe find out why he doesn't want you to have more. i don't buy the "takes away from beauty" crap. tattoos are so beautiful when done well they absolutely enhance the body in my opinion. i have had the same problem with my husband not wanting me to get more tattoos.

Well maybe you could compromise to make you both happy....get something less bold and big? Pierce one nipple?I can't really tell you what the best compromise would be that is something you two have to talk about.
Is he going to leave over this or is it something he can live with even if he grumbles about it? That will play into it too...if he is willing to walk out the door over a tat, then maybe he isn't the right one and in my own opinion not worth the time anyway if it would be that easy for him to walk out!
Still The best thing would be to find a compromise that will make you both happy.

I have had to same problem also. What worked for me is to sit down with my spouse, and discuss it. But I had to find an appropriate time to have this discussion. Timing is everything. I cannot just pop this "talk" on my other half when he just got in from work and is tired and hungry, right before bed is another bad time. Good luck. Oh, and by the way, my husband and I did reach an agreement that is acceptable to both of us.

What would happen if you just do it?
How important is your marriage to you?
Yes it is your body, but if its going to cause a huge problem for your marriage and you love him more than anything then dont do it.
Have you sat him down and had a heart to heart with him about it? Or is he the strong silent type and wont discuss it?
I dont know what to say... I am fairly lucky in that my husband loves tattoo's on women, if their tastefully done and he doesnt care that I got my nose pierced, and am working on a half sleeve.
But each guy is different... I say just talk with him about it.

My husband hates tattoos on girls. He thinks they are trashy. He looks on the outside rather than in. But I did not get married to be told what I can do with my body. I got married to have someone love me no matter what. So I disregarded his requests and did what I wanted to do anyway. I have so many tattoo's now I can't even count and I still continue to get them. He actually thinks they are sexy now too. We are happy and he only argues with me every once inawhile about my tats. I just let him complain knowing that once it's on my body he loves it anyway because it's on me - who he loves.

You are married to him. For either of you to do something like this you both should agree. If he does not want to see them on you then you should understand and not try to make him mad. There may come a time when he wants to do something you are against, what would you want his decision to be?

my boyfriend is the same way about the nipples .. he says he doesnt want another guy touching my boobs lol... im goign to try to see if i can find a girl peircer and try :)
he also he said he doesnt like girls with to many tattoos but im gonna get as many as i want.. if he loves me enough he will still stay with me... so go for it.. you will find out if he truely does love you for you and not your body
