I am wondering if I have to maintain 30 minutes of cardio to get maximum results or if 4 miles is 4 miles. (Obviously running 2 miles doesn't take 30 minutes) My goal is to lose weight and running seems to be the best way. Any info on the matter will be greatly appreciated.

I don't think it really matters how you do it as long as you can fit it into your schedule and stick with it.

I ran 5 miles a day for many years. I was told that if you get your heart rate up, and keep it up for the whole run, it is better by far than running half the distance twice a day.

do the 2 and 2 because it will like balence out your day unlike running the 4 hours in all one time because if you eat breakfast and a snack then run 2 miles and thenn eat lunch and dinner and run the other 2 it would work better
