They were called pixie sticks if its the one I am thinking of. U opened the one end and poured the powder in your mouth and they were sweet but sour. In my area in Pennsylvania they still make them.

RE:
What ever happened to that candy Crave (sour powdered sugar in a plastic vial)?
Ive spent all morning trying to remember the name and the only other thing i found out is it isn't made anymore. I used to love this stuff as a kid, so any information would be much appreciated.

Wait, I still have some untouched somewhere in my room. Let me go check!
Yikes! I have 4 of them. I think I got them from Hot Topic back in the day.
I have 3 of "The Crave"
One flavor called "Cloud Nine" which says "sour lemon lime" on it and I think it was black and yellow. It has a black cap.
The second one is called "White Lie" which says "sour mixed fruit". It may have been red and white. It too has a black cap.
The last is "Avalanche" which says "sour cherry" and was probably all red. This has a white cap.
The sugar crystals have all turned into syrup and has started to barely ooze out of the sealed caps. I licked off the excess.
The Ingredients are: sugar, dextrose, malic acid, artificial flavors and colors (FD&C yellow#5 and #6, Blue #1, Red#40. Net wt. 0.5 oz(14grams). The colors of varying amounts of course. The label is black with white lettering.
Distributed by Eat Me Now, Los Angeles, CA.
no street address
phone# (818)844-3121
The second brand is called "Morbibd Mouth"
slogan is:"Eat the hand that feeds you". There is a pic of a fanged skull to the left with a black background. The 70% left of the label is green with black lettering. It has a white cap.
The flavor is "Bruiser". The color is Black, but it doesn't specify flavor.
Get this! They are made/distributed by the same company "Eat Me Now", same address, same ingredients...but the Morbid Mouth brand is specially made for Hot Topic (says so on the label)
I do believe I've seen them on sale somewhere recently...as if the negative press/attention has gone away!
Before it was candy cigarettes, then The Crave, next perhaps pop rocks that come with a crack pipe...or a syringe filled with that liquid lollipop syrup that comes with a length of red rope licorice so you can tie yourself off...lol. Ok, back into the drawer they go for another 10 or so more years!!!
