I like this girl a lot. When I hear people call her name or talk about her I feel my stomach turn and my heart beat speeds up.
I really like her. But she is way to young for me. She is 17 I am much older, I'm 33. I'm not after her for the sex, I don't care about that. I really like her company and wouldn't mind waiting for sex until she reaches 18 or 19 or whatever.

What can I do to forget her. Part of me says that I should continue trying to see if love works between us but the other part says to forget her. But I can't forget her.

16 years difference? Normally, I would encourage your feelings because age shouldn't make a difference. However, she's a teenager and while you seem to know what your feeling, she hasn't had a first puppy crush, a chance to go to college, military, traveling and as she gets older, her choices may change and you may be her prince charming. For now? I know it may be hard, but the unselfish thing to do is walk away, if it's meant to be, you guys will have your shot.

Does she like you to? if so, how does her family feels about it because she is still young and needs her family unless you are ready to be her whole world. The point is if she likes you as much as you like her then the two of you should start by being just friends and then when she is old enough and ready to have be in a relationship and if she choose you as her man then go for it. But for now just be patience and don't pressure her to do anything she doesn't want to do and even if she wants to be in a relationship with you, you should let her know that she should focus on school and other things and put your relationship aside for later. She might have to date other people her age if she really wants to be in a relationship right now. You should love her unselfishly and let her do what's best for her not for you.

Well, unfortunately, she is too young at the moment. Right now is not the right time to pursue anything with her. Maybe in a few more years, and if she feels the same way, things can start to happen, but as of now, you need to back off.

It's a good thing you actually like her and is not after her for sex. ( older men tend to look for that ) But your age difference is a bit high and she should be going for guys who are in their early 20s. But since you like her so much and respects her, I think your love with can grow :)

You're a pervert for even looking at a 17 year old in this way. I hated it when grown men tried to hit on me when I was seventeen. I felt so molested. Get a woman and leave her alone.

Never mind sex: wait until she's of age before you try to start anything. If it's more than an infatuation, both of you can afford to wait.

you probably feel a lot of "chemistry" with her and a connection.

but do you think it's healthy to date a child?

see what she's doing in 15 years.
