Je t'aime, mon mari = I love you, husband. A cute way of putting it and not at all awkward in French.

Misspelled.Should be:
Je t'aime, mon mari =I love you my husband.
If it is written like this :
Je aime mon mari = I love my husband.

It sounds awkward.
It would be, ''I love you, my husband.''
but most French speakers would say, ''Je t'aime, chéri.''
Are you sure it's not ''J'aime mon mari. = I love my husband.''?
