What do you do if your period is coming on the day of your wedding? Is there anything you can do to stop your period from coming on the day of your wedding? The groom said it's fine he just wants to have me as his wife and it doesn't matter if we don't consumate our wedding night on the wedding night. But i just feel bad, why did we (girls) have to have periods? Is there anything I can do to make this night special if it does come one the day of the wedding?

Talk to your gynecologist and ask if there's something (s)he suggests.
If you don't have one ... see one, pronto. Especially if you're going to be sexually active for the first time. Girls should see one when they're 18 or sexually active, whichever comes first. Get a routine checkup and Pap smear and get some information about birth control (either medication or natural, whichever you prefer), but get yourself educated about yoru body and sex BEFORE you get married.
And if either of you have been sexually active before with someone else, you may also both want to be tested for STDs and such if you haven't already. Not saying that you have one, but it's best to be prepared before you make a lifelong commitment to someone.
The night will already be special if you're serious about being married and starting a life together. Many couples are too tired to have sex on the wedding night, anyway. And if it;s your first time, be forewarned that it probably won't be all that great ... it can be awkward, embarassing and sometimes it'll hurt a bit. But the important thing is to relax, have fun, be patient, be supportive of each other, and remember that you can always try again after that.

What a bummer it can be when "Aunt Flo" comes to town, especially on your wedding day! If you are on the pill, talk to your doctor about skipping your placebo pills to skip your period. If you're not on the pill, I don't know of any ways you can stop it. However, your night can still be special. Perhaps you can take a bath together with candles and champagne. Do something that is special for both of you. The other thing to keep in mind is many couples don't have sex on their wedding night because they are just too worn out. Focus on it being a special night - sex or no sex - rather than what the expectation might be. Good luck as you start your new life together!

You cannot stop nature and he already stated clearly that it doesn't matter.Of the billions of girls married over the years, do you think you are the first to have a period on the big wedding day?? NO...and sex during the period is not against the law. Waiting a few days won't hurt--he obviously loves you and you have a whole life together ahead of you. What happens if you get a headache or you feel sick?? Hey anything can interrupt a sex life. Now enjoy the day and good luck to you both.

if you are the birth control pill then you can stop your period from coming. All you have to do is keep taking the pill, dont stop for your normal "period week". You know how you have 3 or 4 weeks of white pills and then the last week is the green pills...just dont take the green pills, start with your next pack of white pills RIGHT AWAY. This will stop your period from coming. There is NO harm to you when doing this. My doc told me to do that.

no matter how lots you propose, something continuously is going incorrect. you won't be able to administration issues like the climate, so if it is the only element that is going incorrect, that may not too undesirable. We had some minor equipment defects at our wedding ceremony. somebody forgot the decorations for the pinnacle table so there became into merely one swag of tulle and the middle piece. It regarded somewhat bare. The tux save ignored some pairs of socks so the adult adult males have been working around searching for socks final minute. We forgot the cake knife, so while it became into time for the cake reducing ceremony we've been status there like um wheres the knife. fortuitously the caterer had one and the DJ ran over and found it and got here to our rescuse. additionally our DJ became into in the ability of changing his library to CDs and did no longer deliver his finished series so human beings complained with regard to the constrained musics selections. yet all in all each and everything went rather gentle, and the majority did no longer word the little issues. (A coupled of the ornamental vases broke too yet oh properly!) Oh and that i rather much forgot the rings and the limo had to coach back to get them lol!

are you completely against consumating your wedding on your period? i know it sounds messy, but you are husband and wife now...
if you are on the pill you can skip the last week (placebo) and start a new pack, thats if your last week of pills falls on your wedding day...
a placebo is a substance that has no medical effect...you really dont have to take the last week of birth control pills...the first three weeks are most important...
ive never became sick while doing it during my time of the month, i guess its a personal preference...

You don't and can't get sick just by having sex while on your period. You can't get sick that time any more than any other time you get sick. Some men don't mind because that is the only time you are truly guaranteed of not getting pregnant if you are not on birth control. Do they still have Today sponges available for purchase? If so, it will take care of the birth control part and you don't bleed as long as you have it in. Sort of like a tampon but you can still have sex with it in.

If he doesn't have a problem waiting, I wouldn't worry about it. Purposely delaying your period is not good for your body. My husband and I didn't consumate our marriage on the night of the wedding because we were just too tired after we got home. It's not a big deal.

you're in luck if you're on the pill. with your dr's permission, you can skip the week of inactive pills and start a new month, and that will keep you from having your period. there are also new forms of birth control that allow you to have only 4 periods a year, you might want to ask your dr about that. if you're not on the pill, i don't think there's much you can do about it. just keep in mind that there are more ways to be intimate than just intercourse. kudos to your fiance for being a good sport!
