Please, near-death experiences have been properly researched by now. You kooks need to upgrade your choice of literature. When the body dies, the brain goes into oxygen starvation mode. No new blood means no new oxygen. At that point it will start hallucinating wildly. While the reason or mechanism behind this is a bit unclear it is not a bad way to go. At least your final moments will be trippy. You should ask any pilot who has done high-G training. Typically at very high Gs the blood can't reach the brain anymore and the pilots pass out. When they come to they describe the classic NDE experiences: tunnels of light, floating behind your body et al. But none of this will convince you, you want to cling to the belief that your pathetic human life is something greater, something eternal. Well, at least you won't know that it is not there.

I believe God can allow you to have a dream and see your loved one for comfort or direction, But it is God not the actual person. When a persons soul goes to heaven how would it be a place with total happiness and peace if they are allowed to see us and watch over us. This world is full of awful things that you don't want to be mindful of in heaven.

Quote, "I had a sleeping DREAM about her bathed in a brilliant light. ... Also when dad passed on I had a VISION of him waving goodbye with a smile on his face."
Dear heart, I have dreams in which my late wife appears (she died in '03). Visions? No. You loved your parents, thus why should it be a rare thing, that you think about your dad and you dream about your mother? Neither the dream nor the vision have a thing to do with the two of them, but with you alone, with that astonishing organ between your lovely ears: your brain. As for the butterfly, well, he (or she) was doing what butterflies do in their short lives--feed and seek a 'mate.' Of course your mother and your dad are OK. Death is just that, death. There exists no gateway to the living, in fact, once the brain is gone, that's it, that's all insofar as any measure of 'life' is concerned. There is, in short, no life after death, but silence, only silence, and other matters concerning six-feet-under which I shall not speak of here. Be well and take great care of yourself.

Nope! I believe in the human imagination and propensity to see what they want to see.
Houdini gave his wife a codeword before she died. Not one so called psychic or spiritualist ever came up with the right word. You should try the same thing with the next relative that is in line for the grave. Call it an experiment.
I can predict the results with a six sigma probability. There are no ghosts!

Life after death? i don't know...and the raccoons won't say.
But can the faithfully departed give you a sign that they are ok? Yes.
And when things get really bad, they can give you a sign that it will all be ok.
My cousin loved bunnies...and I'm told there were bunnies watching the cars the day he died. (in a car crash)
Now and then I see bunnies where bunnies has no reason to be. They look at me for a moment and then hop away. Is this a sign? I think that it is.

I believe that is possible. I don't believe in physics "connecting" with the dead and passing on visions. However, your stories seem very credible to me.
Death is a mystery - but God has provided the way for us to be reconciled to Him through Christ. Death is, I believe, an extraordinarily wonderful experience for His children.

Honestly I don't know. I've had dreams as well, but I don't know if there's anything to them or if they are the mind's way of coping with the loss. Words are often inadequate, but I'm so sorry that you've lost both your mom and dad.

I believe there can be some instances where a departed loved one can reach out to you. My grandfather did when he passed away and it wasn't in a dream. People who know me know it was real. They saw the change it made in me. They all said if Grandpa was going to talk to someone it would be Dawn. Do you think it has to do with our name, lol? I believe God reaches out to people and can do it in many different ways. I don't believe in psychics and ghosts, but I KNOW we live on.
God Bless.

It is possible. While my father was dying, i fell into Satanism. The night after he died, I dreamt that he was sitting in New Orleans, listening to his jazz music and drinking some scotch. I soon left Satanism and converted to Christianity. Though i have left the christianity circle, i believe that the deceased can communicate with us.
