I was reading a resolved question asking if mormon's can smoke pot. several mormon's said no because it's bad for the body. I'd like some physical evidence that it's bad for your body. There's more than one way to consume pot as well, so don't assume I mean smoking only. I know smoking is unhealthy, but what about eating etc.. Pot is used medicinally.

For now let's assume the pot is being eaten. Also keep in mind that some mormon's still choose to drink coffee and drink soda which contain caffeine which is physically addictive along with other things which are detrimental to your health.

I believe the defining scripture for Christians and substances of any kind is Titus 2:3, the instruction not to be "given to much wine." In other words, you can drink, you just can't be a drunk. I would think the same would apply to marijuana - you could consume it in moderate quantities and non-harmful ways, but you couldn't smoke it up all day every day.

I don't know if this is the answer you are looking for, but one of the biggest dangers of pot, as stated on the DEA website, is that is contains more 400x (or something like that) carcinogens than cigarettes. However, recent studies, are revealing this not to be true. In actuality there haven't been any tests which prove that pot is actually bad for your body. Mostly because no one has done the tests.
However, I believe that was one of the original claims of this study (that there would be a positive correlation between marijuana smoking and cancer).
"The largest study of its kind has unexpectedly concluded that smoking marijuana, even regularly and heavily, does not lead to lung cancer.
The new findings "were against our expectations," said Donald Tashkin of the University of California at Los Angeles, a pulmonologist who has studied marijuana for 30 years."
"We hypothesized that there would be a positive association between marijuana use and lung cancer, and that the association would be more positive with heavier use," he said. "What we found instead was no association at all, and even a suggestion of some protective effect."

There are a lot of plants and chemicals used to remedy man. But these same remedies just like overeating can cause harm or even death in humans. Bad for your body you decide? Anyone can smoke pot ..that is free will. God said man subdue the earth but this is another example of how the earth has subdued him. A gold fish is a good example if you feed them they will eat until they die. You have to give them small amounts at each feeding. God uses insects and animals to tell us what we do is against even the nature of man...yet we see and then we do not see. You just do not get it."I do not do or did this[ but a least I was not as bad as so and so".]

I havent a clue about what the mormans think. My personal opinion of it (which I think is what you really want to know from us anyway) is it should be legalized. God made ALL plants, man made it bad. Drinking causes people 10 times more harm than pot does and thats legal??? There are plenty of DWI's, have you ever heard of a DWP? Everything in moderation is what I always say. Heck, if more people were stoned, maybe we wouldnt be biting eachothers heads off. btw, i'm not saying I smoke it either.

Red wine has also been shown to be beneficial for cardiac health, yet the omnipotent white male leadership of the church remain unconvinced because they don't drink it and are in their 90's. Everyone needs to use the Prophet as an example of health, mind, whiteness and mental separation from reality.
Toke up, dude.

Pot is addicting, if not physically, then mentally.
If pot can be used medicinally, then allow a doctor to prescribe it for you. It's the same as with codeine, morphine, and like medicines; if prescribed and ued correctly, tey are good, but bu they can be abused.

Members of the LDS Church do not believe in recreational drugs either.
They treat their bodies as temples of God [per scripture] and avoid anything that might prove harmful to them in any such way.
Drugs of any kind are capable of unnecessary side effects.
Further, engaging in pot is 'outside the law'.
One of the Church's Articles of Faith states:
"We believe in ... honouring, obeying and sustaining the law..."

Smoking Pots can cause aluminum poisoning, lead poisoning or iron poisoning depending what they are made out of.
That and you can badly burn your fingers if you aren't wearing an oven mit. Mormons are typically not experienced with handling pots and can burn their pure fingies.

ex-mormon but, a drug that is nonaddictive for some leads to more addictive drugs like cocaine or meth. Theres my arguement. Pot does kill brain cells by the way. slowily but surely.
