For years .. everytime I would get bit by any bug the little bite would swell up from the size of a pimple, to a dime, to a quarter, and at sometimes the size of the palm of my hand. By the next day, however, the swelling goes away. I even got bit on my eyelid yesterday and it was so swelled up , I couldnt open my eye until this morning. Is this reaction normal? Should I be worried about it?

You could try some diphenhydramine both taken orally and applied topically directly to the bites. It's an antihystamine, and could reduce some of the swelling and irritation.

Lidocaine jelly apply topically can remove some of the itching and discomfort, while any NSAID like acetaminophen will keep down the inflammation.

You quite clearly have an allergic reaction to bug bites. However, as you've presumably been bitten many times before, there's not much of a likelihood that your reaction will be much worse.

However, if at anytime you experience difficulty breathing... if it feels like your trying to breathe through a soda straw, for instance... call for EMS.
