I want my dress to be as fresh and ready to go as possible. I heard that is should be like 2-3 weeks before, why is that? Does it even matter. Would a month out be too far? Need advice from those who have experienced, thanks.

For a bridal shop to bustle my dress it took them 3 weeks. If you wait too late then you have to pay express fees to get the work completed quickly. I took my dress in about a month before my wedding and then had them delay the final pressing and spot cleaing until the week of my wedding. Also, if you have a veil make sure that you take it in for your final fitting with the bustle so that they can steam it out. Remember the more you can get completed early the best you don't want to be a stressed out bride.

Give yourself extra time. If there is a mistake, you need time to get it fixed. I'd say al least 3-4 weeks prior, then store it properly so it stays wrinkle free and fresh. If it needs it at the last minute, you can ask the cleaner how to steam out a wrinkle at home without damaging the dress.

Two- Three day before, it will take them about 24 hours to do all the work on it. I also picked mine up the night before.
