When you want reall low airfair, go under actual airline web sites, like airtranairways.com or even spiritairlines.com. The smaller airlines have lower prices, than the bigger major airlines.

I once heard that travelocity.com and orbitz.com charges you, when you by airline tickests with them.

This spring I flew on Airtran Airways to Florida. We booked the flights with the airline, and saved money. We would have to spend more money, if we booked a flight with travelocity.com and flew a different airline.

Yes the smaller airlines like Southwest Airlines, Airtran Airways, and Spirit Airlines, don't fly every where. If I am not mistaking Spirit and Airtran do fly to the Carribean, and maybe to Mexico.

since your travel date is litle far, try to look on priceline where you can name your own price.as far as I know continental is the company that offers 10% off if you find a company that have lower prics than theirs. And the service is excellent.
As you'll be looking beware of the low low prices wices with more that 1 stop;because your luggage usually get lost or arrive after you. That painful and can ruin your travel time.

Liaise with a responsible flight captain if you know one. The captain can get the 2 tickets for you at half that amount.

www.sidestep.com

It searches all published airfares (even orbitz) and links you to the cheapest one - and often it's cheaper than that!
