Sorry, I mean do they hurt more or less compared to an area such as the neck or back?

My friend has recently had a music note done on her right wrist. She said it hurt but not as much as when she had i done on her ankle. She said they wipe the area with an antiseptic wipe which i supposed to numb a little bit. Also she took pain killers before. So she it didn't hurt alot.

I have tattoos on both wrists and the pain was bearable, neither of them hurt that much. But it all depends on the person, some people feel the pain more than others. Personally I found that only about 5 minutes of getting the tattoo hurt the worst but than ya body gets used to it. But if you're thinking about getting a tattoo trust me the pain is worth it!

I got one on my wrist. It hurt a lot. That was until I got one on my ankle. That hurt even more. It's the places that are lean and without fat that hurt the most. My chest didn't hurt at all because I have breasts. If you're worrying about the pain factor, just get a tattoo somewhere that's got some meat on it.

I have two on the side of my wrists one on my inner wrist a lower back one and one of the nape of my neck. The neck hurt least and the wrist ones were ok, except one which swelled up quite a bit after, I think it was because it was too close to my hand. I was sick literally with the one on my back! It was definatly the worst.
Hope I've helped!

YES! lol

I have several tattoo's and I personally think the pain was a lot more intense on my inner wrists than anywhere else. It was tolerable, and I enjoy the pain that comes with tattoos but for some it can be too much. Also depends on how well you take pain.

All tattoos hurt, but some more than others. The wrist is definitely a place that would hurt - the skin in thinner!

hey there, ive got two tattoos one on my wrist and one on my foot. i have to say the foot one hurt more than the wrist one. its a strange kind of pain but its definately bearable. mine stung a lot after which was worse then the actuall tattoo because it lasted longer.
nothing you cant cope with though and my pain threshold is very low!

It does smart a bit, it varies from person to person.
I have behind my ears tattooed (ladybird and a rose), my hubby's name inside my bottom lip, across my shoulders I have a large tattoo, each side of my chest, tops of my arms and above both ankles. They all vary in pain when getting them done.

i have both a tattoo on the wrist and on the inside of my ankle. the wrist hurt, but tbh, it was more of a burning feeling. the ankle HURT! the only thing which would have hurt more is if they cut off my foot, tattooed it and then stitched it back on.
